I have a blown t25 from an sr.

Searched google and came up with very little info on repair (besides the fact that forced performance can make a bigt28 out of this thing). Searched FA and came up with even less info...

1) Where would be a reliable/reputable place to have this turbo rebuilt?

2) How much $ am I looking at?

3) Who sells rebuild kits (for the do-it-youselfer)?

I'm in the process of contacting various companies regarding their pricing structure, turn-around-time, and availability of parts. Wondering what the board's collective experience is with this.

thanks

Its better just to buy a new turbo depending on the amount of money you could end up spending. You could just get a new t28 bb turbo for $600. Cheapturbos.com rebuilds turbos for an alright price. They'll even give you a pretty much free inspection & estimate, and they could probably put a bigger exhaust housing and wheel on it.

I've seen the kits before on google somewhere. They were between $90-150.

It was a little difficult to find, though.

Rebuilding most turbos is not very difficult. Rebuilding one of these tiny turbos is difficult, because they use snap rings to hold them together (and they're a *****)

Also, is $150 worth it? Oh, and thats only if everything is good aside from the bearings and seals.
