Lets get a meet together after the holidays, use this thread to come to an agrement on the time and place.

The Pavilions car show the Saturday after Christmas (the 29th) sounds good. 8-9pm in the Corvette row (the last one on the west, side allows car clubs or anyone after 6pm). Between 8-9 is when the classic cars and Vettes start to leave. From the pavilions you can go pretty much anywhere.

I think 8 or 9 might be to late, I for one like doing other things on Sat nights. Maybe if we all get together before everyone gets there. I think after the holidays would be a good idea too, maybe by then I'll have my car back. http://www.freshalloy.com/

I might actually have a camera to film by then. Somebody (T.Y.?) has got to get Mike Lee to go. Been wanting to see his car for a while... But ya...we would need to agree on a date/time that would allow for more people to go...

Fahaka, Im sorry I forgot your name? Did you put the R33 frontend back on your car? Did you get the paint thing figured out?

I also think it would be better if we all could get together not just 2 0r 3 of us. Maybe we should plan it a few months in advance, that way more people, including other Nissan folks, could go. We could have it in a park somewhere or maybe a Firebird. Just throwing some idea's out there. I think Ty, would be the person most suited for setting somthing up, just becuz of his connections. Although, Im not volunteering him, so dont get mad(Ty)if you read this.

Anyway email me if you have any suggestions

it doesn't always have to be the saturday pavillon thing either http://www.freshalloy.com/ us 240 and nissan folks can just get together and hang out. maybe a track meet or arange something with a local shop to hang out at like intense or maybe brady can arange a dyno 240 day at technodyne???? or if anyone knows of a well secluded parking lot where we can use as a skid pad http://www.freshalloy.com/

Fahaka
12-23-2001, 11:21 PM
No my R33 front end is still waiting to be repainted ($$$$$) starting a new job soon, so we'll see,....

Yes I'm totally open to where we meet, it doesn't have to be the pavillions. I think the most obvious reason for meeting there is the sheer numbers of cars that show up. I love 240's and all, just alot of "other" types and numbers of cars out there. It is also a fairly central location. I live in what is considered the extreme east valley, and I can reach the pavillions in 20 min.

Night time is good for me, I always work late and on weekends (hence the new job thing) so I like after 6PM saturday but I will rearange my schedule to get together.

How about Tempe Town Lake under the freeway right behind the Red River "Opera" http://www.freshalloy.com/ @ 8PM on Jan 5 '02. There are a several of different smallish lots there that are kindof seperate from eachother. My 2 cents!

Track meet sounds cool, friebird would be good, but that means alot of work, coordination, and a cover charge.

KenFuji
12-23-2001, 11:53 PM
usally mid week is good for me http://www.freshalloy.com/

i agree with zbeast... maybe if we organize it a month or two in advance we will have a bigger turn out. not just 3 or 4 cars

So thats what we should do. Friday night, Wednesday afternoon,... whatever lets just coordinate it here. Ryan, I would like you to be there, your car tends to attract people. I'd also like to see Mike's car, I have never seen it. I'll make sure my friend Steve shows up, his S14 is nice too. Plus mine and my friend Brian will bring his '98.

T.Y. must be out of town or something since i have not seen him around the forum these past few days. personally wednesday works good for me but if i have a month heads up i can usually pull some strings. i know most people have regular working days and hours. so i'm sure weekends are ideal for most..

I'm around. Just busy with work and other stuff. You guys can go ahead and decided on a meet time. I'll just have to see if my schedule will mesh.

So, I'd say go ahead with Fahaka's idea for the next meet. Then Drift-Otaku can also suggest a meet time.

Also, in March, there will be the 2002 SE-R National Convention here in town. We could sign up and meet up with those guys. The local guys are trying to get me to sign up for the SERCA membership. I know Drift-Otaku has already participated in some of the events. It would be easier for the 240SX group to tag along with the SERCA group since we are easily outnumbered locally. This will make meets, either SERCA or non SERCA bigger etc.

As for Steve's car, it's now his wife's. He's driving a WRX last I talked to him.

KenFuji

i definetly gonna go to the march SE-R national event with the SERCA and couple of my scca honda foolios too http://www.freshalloy.com/

I vote for Saturday 01/05/02

remember to cover up you vin # at shows

Yes It's true Steve has a WRX now(a silver sedan), and Maynette is driving his 240. "The turbo is cool and all, but the stock suspension handles like a boat" was his comment to me.

which lot are we gonna met at?? the one just across the street from the AWA bulding? next to the railroad bridge? or across the otherside of the lake where redriver is???just wanted to make sure so i dont end up with a cruiseing ticket http://www.freshalloy.com/ lol

there is a parking lot between the north and south route of mill on the north side of the lake? it's been a while since i have been to mill. ok cool http://www.freshalloy.com/

Well, hope you don't have a hard time finding the access road to that parking lot. Turn right on Curry from Mill Northbound, and turn right at the first street on the right, and follow it down.

make sure when you get to the show to cover your vin#. At the last 240 get together Maynette caught someone trying to copy Steve's vin #, anyone can have a key cut if they get your vin#. I'd hate to see someone have their car stolen because they copied a vin at a show.

Tempe town lake has a several parking lots. We can go to, the lots behind the red river opry house/under the 202 they are more secluded than the other lot, on the north west corner of Rural and Rio Salado. I prefer the Rural and Rio Salado lot because its easier to find. And, if we choose to, we can move after everyone gets there.

T66240
12-30-2001, 11:25 PM
Most likely I will be there! But we may not want to meet near Rio Salado.... I drove by it last night and it was being dispersed by cops..... We should start at the Pavillions around 7pm......

Im gonna try to make it this time.

I finally got my car back from the bodyshop, although its almost in worse condition then when I brought it in. they left the window down and over the past months it rained, there is dirt and grease marks all over my seats. The bumper doesnt seem to fit right, and last night I was driving it home and the right front of the car was making a funny noise. I got out and checked they didnt tighten the lug nuts all the way and one was missing, worse the stud is stripped.

When my lawyer is done with all of this mess, I think Im gonna have the best looking 240sx in the phoenix area.

Sorry for the rant very mad at this point.
I'll still be there though even if my car wont be.

Hey whats up guys? I will be there and I'm bringing a buddy of mine that has a 240sx as well. I probably won't be up there until 8pm, is that cool? will everyone still be there?

Yup, fun to hang out and chitchat. Lot 59 was a zoo!

Next time, like Drift-Otaku posted, go for the track event with the 2002 SERCA national convention. It will be on the Firebird Westtrack. If I'm around that time, I'll be more than happy to take on passengers (if I'm not stuck working the staff position. I'm on the planning committee).

Fun!=240sx with 400hp thank you UNDERpsi.
it was a good meet, with a good turnout, the pavillions died at 9:30 though (disapointing).
UNDERpsi & T.Y.'s cars are so much faster than our na cars we had a hard time keeping up with them on the cruise to lot 59, especially Sean with his 3 cylinder Sentra(one of his injectors went south on the way to the pavillions). Lot 59 was a zoo, but I think the Tempe & ASU police did a good job controlling the "mob".
On the way there I was traveling steady at about 95 passing UNDERpsi (I estimate he was doing about 60) my rear bumper never got past his front, he punched it and FLEW by me. That is a really fast car. He and T.Y. were going at it as well, I think it was pretty close between the two of them. I can't say for sure, I couldn't keep up. T.Y. did do a wicked, lurid drift right in front of me, well done chap well done!
Can't wait for the next meet.

Just an FYI Mill Ave was "going off" as well http://www.freshalloy.com/

And I'd like to thank you guys, my car felt whoa-fully stock on the long drive back to Tucson.

AAnd I propose the next meet just take place going back and forth between that one place we went and the other one where we started http://www.freshalloy.com/

AAAnd UNDERpsi's car sounded friggen awesome when he buzzed me (over and over). With the spoolin, and the BOV'n......... Hey didn't I see you in "TFATF"? hehehe.

I'll definately try for the SERCA meet.

Hey everyone. I wanted to come to the meet, but I couldn't because I didn't know about it until saturday. In case you don't know who I am, I'm 18 and own an '89 s13 hatch w/ a redtop SR20DET. I live in north Phoenix.
If you guys are having another get-together before the SERCA event, I'd love to come.

Was it a dark green '98 240 with a motorex plate cover (blitz nurspec exhaust), or was it a black '96 with white S14driving club stickers on the side, mine (cheap custom exhaust)?

ummm.. i think i rember seeing the motorex licsense plate but that was out of the pavillion parking lot.... but both the dark green and black is kind of hard to tell on the 101 going 90 mph http://www.freshalloy.com/

i was thinking firebird raceway march 8th on a friday since a lot of the sentra and 200sx guys are coming into town for the 2002 event. i can volunteer to get there early to help fend off a spot for 10 - 15 cars so we can all park together as a group of 240's... how does that sound? or we can do it for the 15th of march since that will be the weekend of IDRC and we can watch the supra vs skyline battle http://www.freshalloy.com/

i will start a thread about it when the time gets closer.

....just rambling thoughts

Great meet guys. I swear I have seen that blue s14 with the Motorex license plate in the Chase garage... And the track idea sounds nice...hopefully by March a few suspension goodies will be added to my ride.

For the record, UnderPsi is faster. Even BPU Supras make way for him. Even GSXR750 is prey for him.

Thanks! I have a Nissan MS front lip. I think it's made by Xenon. If you look closely at my car it's really not that clean..... well I guess it's not bad for a 9 year old car, but I'd like to do another one ground up in show car quality.......

Aw well,
