View Full Version : Concave 5Zigen FN01-C's???

The 5zigen FN01-C's come in two styles the standard flat spokes and a style that has extremly pronouced concaved spokes. Does anyone know how to get the concaved versions? I saw them on several 240's at JGTC and they look really aggressive when put on the rear wheels alone.

i don't think they make them in 2 faces. it's the offest and rim width. the lower the offset, the more "concave" the rims looks

the concave ones come in 17 x 10 only, and i dont know about the 18's

18s are slightly concave

9" +15 offset is slightly concave also.

Not really...no more so than the 17x9 +43 or +35. They only change the backpad.

I stand corrected then..... I thought only the +15 was slightly concave. thats good to know tho.

yep, thats right, anything in the 17x10 will be that concave look, those come in bronze, silver, and special sometimes in matte black. No hyper black =T.

18s are slightly concave

In terms of "concave", from most to least it is:

17x10" > 18x9.5" > 18x8.5" > 17x9" > 17x8> 18x7.5> 17x7"

thats right, but theres no rim besides the 17x10 thats even half as aggressive looking.

where can i get 17x9's up front and 17x10's in 4 lug?? or are these rims 5 lug only? sorry for the thread jack, but running sp1's daily is harsh. thanks

redhanded, try importparts.com

17x9 15+ with 20mm spacer (I think?).

Edit: NM they're 17x10 +25 with no spacers. Forgot who's car this was.

Im looking at my 17x9 +15 and they aren't that concave. Those most def are 17x10

gatecrasher

yeah, the 9" wheels are only "slightly" concave, compared to the 7-8" wheels. the 10s are totally different

Do all of the 17x10's have the same curvature or does it vary with offset? The reason I ask is my 275's won't tuck under the fender with the +15 offset. They barley made it with the +35 I have on the 17x9's I am currently running.

i have fn01r-c in 17x10 +12 and +25. they are both the same concave design.

All 17x10" offsets and 18x9.5"(that I know of) have this spoke design.

I really like 'em on my car, even though I went with probably a "too aggressive" offset for my S13(275/40-17's on 17x10 +25 = no fit on S13 with HEAVY fender pulling, and even then it is close). The 17x9's up front look alright, but not anywhere near as good as the 17x10's.

Well it would've fit if you used smaller tires!

But I know, I know... not everyone wants stretched tires.

They fit, so far I haven't rubbed at all, but my fenders are really pulled. I actually like the look. If I could add like 5mm to the offset then it'd be perfect IMO. Out on the track I get almost no body roll with Kumho MX tires and 9/7 spring rates, so not too many travel issues to worry about. Although I am lowering it some more soon.

I plan on going with some 255/40's next time, to gain a little space up there, and to also help the gearing a bit. I wish there were some 275/35-17's, but not one option out there.

The 275's wore beautifully at the track(maybe 1/32" if that used), while the 245/40's up front got eaten up. Probably about half the tread is gone in one track weekend. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/tear.gif

yeah so far my 18*9.5 et 22 and et 12 have the same concave look to them, but it isnt as aggresive as the 17*10's.
i saw that A-Tech has a line similar to the fn's and they looked pretty good.
Quality and offset i do not know though.

Hey def and s13champa, got any pics of your wheel setup?

I've had a bunch of people ask me - I'll post up some pics in a few weeks after I get my piece rolling under its own power again.

It's been a jackstand queen for months now.

just have this one pic. front is 17x9 +15 (225/45) and rear is 17x10 +25 (255/40). of course you'll have to roll the fender lip to fit. the +12 wheels will go in when the wide body kit is on. but for now it's on jack stands getting the SR treatment.

Does any one have any idea how those offsets will fit a Z32?
17x9 +15 (225/45) and rear is 17x10 +25 (255/40)
I'd like to go with 245 in front and 275 in back though.

Sorry for bring back old thread and posting in wronf forum I just can't seem to find answers anywhere else.

Uh, they're not 4-lug. At least the fronts aren't, hard to see the rears.

will 17x10's +25 or +12 fit on S14 front/ w/o coilovers?

In other words, can I run 17x10's all the way around on an S14 w/o coilovers? Also, what is the widest tire I would be able to run for the rear for a 17x10 on the S14?

thanks ahead of time.

For 17x10 front. You MIGHT get away with it without coilovers. I have 17x9 +15 front and i'm 3mm-5mm from my coilover collers.
for rear, 17x10 +12, +15 or +25 will do fine. For tires, it all depends on how much rolling/pulling you want to do. I'm running 17x10 +12 with 235/45 tires and had to do a small rolling. I can probably get 245 or 255 with more pulling.

S14 btw. I'll get pictures soon.

Well, I'm trying to see if I can fit the 275 drag radials by BFG. I believe it's 275/35/17 I think. I don't mind rolling the fenders, I want to eventually get the JUN universal fender flares and rivet them on, but for now, I want to see what I can do w/o the flares.

thanks for the reply

17x10 +35 should be able to fit the 275's with only minor rolling/pulling. I have 275's on 17x9 +35 and have plenty of room on the inside . On the outside I did have to roll them, but it is a very small roll.
