I got a skyline subframe (diff, axles, brakes). Had everything including the 2 piston rear brakes (z32). I took everything out. And installed it on the 240. I did notice that it had 2 bolts to hold onto the back of the diff. The 240's have 4 bolts. Also the bolts mounting the front of the diff are huge compared to the 240 diff. I'm wondering If its possible to swap all the interals into the stock 240 rear end.

THanks. If you guys need pics I can get them. I opened the r32 rear end. It has 43 4 written on it so i'm assuming thats the final gear.

s14 is 2 bolt, s13 is 4 bolt
swap covers
i have s13 diff w/ s14 cover on my s14. dont like s14 diffs

mm the writing, verify it by the #s engraved on teh final drive, should be 48:11 i believe (or 11:48)

as long as its R200 should fit w/ no issues
what kind of r32 is it?

Hes more than likely got a GTS-t diff (4.36:1).

what reason do you have for wanting an S13 diff over an S14?

If your old diff's cover fits, just swap it.

Use two big washers to hold the front flanges on.

I did this with many different diff's. Never had a problem.

Energy suspension bushings make that about equal.

Swap the cover and put it in. Sucks when you do it by yourself and your on the ground. lets just say the vlsd took a few spills. Lucky my pinky survived the incident =) Thats stupid how the s14's have bushing's. s14's are for babies =) (j/p deep down inside i want one =) )

swap'd the 5lug hub's and z32 drum ebrake in. Good stuff so far. Looks so much more pimp than stock =).

I'll get some pictures of it up. ARG......Doing a diff swap is a 2 person job unless u got a lift and tranny hoist.

I got the diff up by myself fairly trouble free.

Just get the car on stands, and have a good jack to support the diff and ease the old one down. Actually I dropped my old one straight out of the car onto the ground and promptly threw it in the dumpster at some random apartment complex.

Just used a jack and centered the diff's weight on it and got it up into position. Most of the help needed was someone messing with the upright to coerce the axles into position.

Got it installed and drove. I just loaded castrol gear oil. Anyways Does this look like a oem lsd. Cause It acts like a 2 way. I'm cornering at low speeds and its chattering. Hope it is... just wanted to make sure =)

Yes, it looks like an OEM clutch LSD.

Not OEM on S13's/S14's. OEM on some Z31's and prev. gen. Z cars. It looks like that sort of OEM case (cast diff casing, like the NISMO street diffs).
