I searched around, but there's no definite answers that I found.

What are the optima tire size for a S13 for the front and rear if I am running 18*8.5 and 18*9.?

The offsets are 25 for the front and 30 for the rear. I am anticipating that I may have to roll the fenders front and back.

I have HKS Hypermax II coils on the car.

Any suggestions?

I was thinking maybe 225 or 235 for the front and I was wondering if I am able to go 265 or 275s in the rear.

On my s13 I am planning on putting 255/40/17s (rear) on 17x9 offset 35, this weekend.

You could go to 275 in the rear only if you had more offset. A +30 offset is gonna stick out the fenderwell about 20mm or so with an 8.5 rim. You might have to lift your coilovers atad too, that what I had to do. I had 8.5 with a +40 offset and they stuck out about 10mm or so. Ideal I think is +50 but not a lot of places make those. Hope this helps.

I run 17x9.5 with +24 offset all around, with 5mm spacer up front to clear coilovers.

235/40/17 front and 255/40/17 front

I had to roll the rear fenders a bit.

275 width tire in the back will kill your handling, 245 or 255 is much more responsive.

I second the 235/255 setup... that is more than what you need...

with rolled fenders i fit +15 17x9's with 275/40/17 all around. a little rubbing in the front wheel wells, but no big deal.

No man, contributed a-lot. Any other pics of their setup. I'll put some up after this weekend. I know I am going to have to roll mine for sure.

it's my car, i can say forsure that 275 is all you can fitin front between a coilover and the fender (i'm only a few mill from the coilover spring, and had to do a wee bit of pounding on the fender). as mentioned before the ride hight had to be raised a bit (i was way lower when i was running 225/45/17's on the same wheels). in the above picture the car is leaning a bit to the left, so normally i have a little bit more clearance between the rear tire and the fender.
here are more pics that might be of some use, sorry they are soo huge (and sorry i'm too lazy to resize them at the moment)

here's a pic from the side bid drift

here's how low i had the car with the 225's on. (the white wheels in back are for sale btw)

here is how far the wheel sticks out full droop (with the 225 on) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v93/wanganps13/Img_0009.jpg

Hmmmm, guess what I am looking at are either 225 or 235 in the front and 255 in the rear.

with proper wheel spacers you should be able to do 255F 275R
