View Full Version : r200 diff simple problem

I just picked up a r200 off a 200sx SEV6. It is a 3.90:1 ratio. I got the stub axles that pop right in, but the side that connects to my drveshaft is not the same pattern. The splines are too big for my r160 flange to fit. Should I get the flange off the older 280zx with halfshafts?

Noooo!. Well, if I can't find anyone to help me then I will have to go to the junkyard within the next week and post my findings off a r200 280zx w/ and w/ out halfshafts, z31, 200sx rwd, 260z, and 280z. Let you guys know. I woulda went to the junkyard today but my daily driven car is broken.

I went to the junkyard and picked up the correct input flange on the r200 to fit my 510 driveshaft. The 200sx v6 flange had 12mm holes further apart from the 10mm holes on the 510 pattern. Not sure about other r200 flanges, but the 280zx with old school halfshafts has the correct flanges to run 510 axles n driveshaft with rear mt mod. Hope it helps you guys, and hit me up if you don't have the time or tools to get a r200 for your 510 with correct flanges.
