i think it could be mark's blue silva he's selling (http://forums.freshalloy.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=9&t=007834).... he does mid to lower 13's w/street tires and 12's with slicks..

As far as i know, greaser has the time to beat right now at 12.2.
hmmm, i will try next spring, but i don't think the power is there and i am no drag racer.

We'll see.

Yep, for S14's. I know wayne has a 12.2@116 under his belt in an S13.
12.21@112
S14 Full Street Use
other time increments were
12.31@113
12.46@109
13.5@104
13.9@100
can i brag?
next season will see 5 more psi.

I have a feeling we will have many fast SR's in 2002.

I've hit a handful of 14.2's @99-100.
This is with a blown turbo. should be too much longer for the new one.

You race when you know your turbo is blown?

hope to see the new one help you get faster.

Greddy intake manifold with 720's and either a 4.30 or 4.6 ring gear with maybe a quiaffe LSD. might keep the kaaz.

Thats all i see that the car will need for this upcoming season. I dreamed to hit an 11 @15psi but its really tough. I'll try before it pisses me off and i boost up to max out my 720's. i love having an efficient setup.

efficiency is the key. Dont boost the hell out of.....make it breath better. this of course coming from someone with a completely stock SR block/head.......but hey, i'm tuning the chasis now. a ported head is o-so-nice. I remember the gains that alex got on the KA with a ported/clovered head. should be fun for you. Good luck. I'll tell all about the response of a customers car i'm doing with a T04 w/50shot direct port in an S13. thing spools full boost at 4700 http://www.freshalloy.com/

I know of a 510 that ran 11.89 with an SR. Retains stock IRS in the car. T4 turbo with an SDS efi setup. Stock engine though. I think it has got some more left in it also.

how about we put our SR powered cars on a track and THEN see who's the fastest? http://www.freshalloy.com/

(respectfully funny comments below of course)
um hello! mcfly

you want a pic of the timeslip? mine lives on a track. so does yours but sideways http://www.freshalloy.com/

only S chasis counts. No other chasis's. Thats like saying if i build a tube frame go cart around an NA SR and i run a 12.20 to beat my own 12.21 that its faster.......not even fair comparison......

we tried this at the last meet in june with me and ty and some others. Damn rain ruined my plans to take over the world! no really. races with mad 240s would be tight.

oh yeah lets DO THAT. i had alot of fun with some big boys at the last track event. not being arrogant just that it would be fun.

You do? Alex told me the DPR head wasn't that impressive, as far as power gains.

Do tell...give us the lowdown -- turbine size, turbine housing A/R (and is it an on-center or tangential housing?), compressor, boost level...and this is on an SR, right?

Inquiring minds want to know.

huh? you dont remeber how much he was happy about the gains? he said something to the effect that it was as much as the cams. Dont make me use the search function http://www.freshalloy.com/!

on center(ughff) housing. ? a/r i didnt look. no other info. The guy just told turbonetics that he wanted 450rwhp in a T04 application on center housing. I'll research for ya.

Boost level max of 15psi(he wanted to recreate my setup in a S13 chasis) 50 shot direct port. Stock internals/cams. Log manifold with turbonetics gate. Blitz DSBC. SDS ECU with 550 injectors. SR yes.

i think the best he could get with this power level in drag app. with 50 shot would be 11.80-11.60 with perfect driving and damn good launch. I think i need to teach him how to drive a fast drag car.

haha....only you want to know..nya na na nA na Na. Sorry i'm just being funny tonight.

the 240sx is great for so many different purposes... i love it!

yeah thats what i meant. it would be absolutely RAD if i wasnt one of the few (2-3) 240s at a track event!

Then again, workin' on my car for 4 days and being tired can make you "feel" like there's tons of gains.

Oh sure, there were "tons" of gains, but on the dyno the gains were offset by the fact that the car was detonating ON THE DYNO.

We had to push back the timing to 15 degrees, but the encouraging thing is that it is making a tiny bit more power than before at 15 degrees... going back to stock 20 degrees timing would probably put another 5-7RWHP back.

To Greaser: You're my hero! I saw your 240 in the Battle of the Imports last June. Are you gonna be there next time? I'd love to see your car again. Wish I had the money for either one of the engine swaps i've been pondering about getting. Oh well, hope to see ya there.

I'll only go if i have radials by then. Battle of the imports' STREET class requires the use of dot approved radials. I just sold my NT555r's to a buddy. I sure wont buy a set of tires for one event. Unless i know the purse of the event will offset my costs. Sucks but its only one race. I'm sure i'll go........hell its a drag race.

I sure as heck wont go into the pro class. Shrug....i could. I'm consistent as hell and havent broken any parts. My competitors are always inconsistent and braking parts or giving me bye runs.

As for me being your idol.......you can do it too. Took me one previous turbo car and this car being through three stages to get the knowledge i have. Its really expensive and took me about 5 years to get where i'm at. Just read up. Even try to get a job at a performance shop. I started in stereo's.

::cough:: ::cough:: ENGINE MANAGEMENT ::cough:: ::cough::

you can change points where it pings to get rid of it. Instead of changing the WHOLE ignition map like you do now. I know you know that but just wanted to point out. Does JWT know about it? i'm sure they'd like to get the car back and fix the map.

::COUGH COUGH:: I know! ::COUGH COUGH::

There won't be a JWT retune until at least I dyno the stage II cams... Which will probably take another 3 months at my current pace.. haha

you know the questions i about to ask

what are the duration and lift differences? overlap?
