Am I correct in seeing that the Journey Package in the M sport (even though $1,000 cheaper than non-sport) does not come with climate control seats? Also not included in Journey Package sport compared to non-sport are HID xenon headlights with automatic leveling and Adaptive Front Lighting System. Does anybody know why Infiniti did this? I really want the M35 sport and those climate control seats would really come in handy here in the summer. Why can't a car company give us a sports car with all the luxury amenities?

Uhhh, before you get all riled up, you should read the standard features for the M Sport more closely. All M Sport models come with swiveling xenons and climate seats STANDARD.

I'm not riles up, I'm trying to understand the difference. That's why I posted this here to get the correct response. So the M35 sport already includes swiveling xenonís and climate seats (standard) GREAT!! If this is correct, than that's exactly what I wanted to hear. Thanks!

Yup, the sport comes with a lot more 'standard' features than the non sport (which the premium package adds in). I just wish I had a choice of getting the Bourbon interior with the aluminum trim. I am not so sure I am liking the rosewood trim.

I'm not sure why the Rosewood Trim doesn't get any love, but I personally like it. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/confused.gif In any case, I think the aluminum trim would clash with the brownish orange color of the Bourbon interior, but that's just my opinion.

For those interested, here are some clear pictures of the M35x w/ Wheat Interior/Rosewood Trim & the 7" Non-Navigation color screen:

Nice. Looks like there are going with a "matte" finish for the wood, ala Range Rover.

I also love the Rosewood trim. And I usually hate wood and black leather interiors(which is the only color leather I'd get), besides the black wood, whatever it's called. But the color of the Rosewood with the black leather interior is gorgeous. I personally dislike the aluminum interior on the M. I don't know why, but the pattern in the aluminum is unattractive. The aluminum on the 2004 and earlier FX, with it's flat appearance is a lot nicer. Sorry about the large pictures, but you can't see the pattern in the aluminum in the smaller M45 picture.

The interior, with both wood or aluminum, looks fantastic. Only complaints are the steering wheel and shift knob. They look terrible, and really cheap to boot. Oh well, maybe they'll be fixed with a facelift in 3 years...

I like the brushed aluminum much better too. I don't know why Infiniti is going with this new aluminum look on the 2005 FX sport and unfortunately looks like itís on the 2006 M35 sport also. The brushed aluminum on the concept M and on my wifeís 2003 FX is much nicer IMHO anyways.

As to why Infiniti stopped using the "brushed" aluminum, my guess would be that the new "patterned" aluminum trim is less susceptible to scratching and may hide minor dings. Many FX owners were complaining about how easily it sratches, etc. w/ the brushed aluminum trim. Although, why Infiniti chose to use the brushed aluminum on the non-sport FX and the patterned on the sport FX is beyond me.
