The sequel to Terminator 3 is getting a hell of alot of attention to say the least. Why is that? Because in my opinion its going to kick some hardcore ass lads! The latest rumor out of the hollywood machine is that Kurt Wimmer will be directing Terminator 4. As with anything its way to early to say its final, but its still most interesting.

According to Bild, Ralph Moeller is in talks of portraying the Terminator in the next sequel. You can read our report here

You will also remember that Claire Danes and Nick Stahl will not be returning. And as much as we would like to see Arnold back he will not have a major role. There is talk of a cameo but thats it.

The Terminator 4 movie will start shooting in November of 2005. The script has been completed by John Brancato and Michael Ferris.

Ralph Moeller -- you may remember him from such films as Gladiator, or TV's Conan

In my opinion, T2 is probably the BEST American action film, and defines what an true American action film should be.

I didn't like T3 very much, in my opinion it just seemed too typical of an "Bruckheimer" style action film to me (not that I have a problem with it). Jonthon Mostow is an excellent director (watch Breakdown and especially U571 if you want proof), but on this film he seemed off, probably just the material he was given to shoot.

T4 with Kurt Wimmer... I dunno. Equilibrium is awesome and it shows what he can do on a limited budget, but him directing a Terminator film? I think they should have just ended it at T2, or waited (if ever) for James Cameron to come back on to do T3.

I hate Terminator 3. Pretty much threw everything out the window from the first 2 movies.

T3 was full of plot holes.

Skynet in T1/T2:

T1-T2 establishes Skynet as a giant defense network computer mainframe built for SAC/NORAD underneath Cheyenne Mountain Complex powered by a revolutionary neural-net microprocessor, a "learning computer".

It's established that Cyberdyne created the Neural Net Processor (NNP) based off the designs of the first Terminator. Ordinary computers are dumb and only function from human input. The NNP was special in that it was capable of learning. This is what allowed Skynet to learn and thus becomes self-aware.

Skynet in T3:

Skynet isn't one single computer but a sentient computer program/virus on every PC all around the world? Huh? Didn't know defense computer system could talk with AOL soccer moms downloading MP3s off KaZaA. WTF that makes no sense because the majority of it's physical body would be destroyed in the nuclear exchange.

The whole reason why Skynet started nuclear war against humans because it became self-aware. The operators tried to shut it down and Skynet saw it as an attempt on it's life and fought back.

T3 throws this out the window. Skynet infects the world with itself disguised as a virus that cripples every system around the world in an attempt to get humans to flip the switch so it could come online to kill them all.
