I'm thinking of buying a set of R34gtr wheel for my S13 I curretly have 18x8 with a 40mm offset will the 30mm offset of the GTR wheel fit? I also have 13" rotors with StopTech calipers on the front and R34 Brembo caliper with 350z rotors on the rear.

I call BS. You're not running 40mm wheels with those brakes unless they're fitted with 25mm spacers.

Depends more on the spoke design than the offset (on whether or not they'll clear the big brakes).

I don't have any sort of brake upgrade, but there is a fair amount of room for brakes behind these wheels. If you clear with the wheels you currently run you should be fine.
Also the front probably won't clear the suspension without a spacer.

I have no spacer at all. But I do have Ground Control made the struts to fit there Advance design shocks.

Thanks for the pic of the wheels on a S13 but I had no problem with fitment until I install my coilovers. To keep from runing longer studs and wheel spacers we made struts, so every thing would clear with 7" spring in the front. The wheels I have just barley clear the caliper on the inside of the spoke. and no the car has no moved at all over winter. http://www.datsun510.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=3983&sort=1&cat=3109&page=1

ok that link doesn't really show us anything about your suspension and is this on a 510 or a 240sx? Cause your link only shows a 510

What are you guys using as a spare tire with big brakes? I have 13.25 front rotors with StopTech and 12.75" rear rotors with R34 brembo calipers. I looked at the 350z track spare and it's got to weigh 30lbs any one have any thoughts?

Just curious, can you post a pic of your set up? I'd like to see your current wheels and those brakes.

and for $20 if you upgrade to AAA plus you can get towed for 100 miles for free instead of the standard 7 miles... besides that I have friends with Volks/S14 SE wheels lying around that I can make drive out to me if I'm not that far... I just toss the flat tire in the trunk, buy my buddy a couple of tacos, and we are done!
