View Full Version : S14 auto to manual conversion, R33 parts work?

okay, i want to do an rb25det into an s14. I DO NOT have the car yet, but i do have teh entire clip. so I am exploring my options with getting an automatic car, since most of the manual parts are replaced anyway. except for:

Question is: does anyone know if teh pedal assembly, and the master cylinder from an R33 will fit onto the S14? (2 things....chassis difference... and rhd > lhd)

I understand what's involved with swapping the rb into a normal 5 speed car.. but, is there anything else I should know with this conversion involving an automatic S14, that can be easily overlooked? http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I assume you are getting a skyline clip? not a laurel clip? We had a laurel clip with the R33 RB25DET motor installed directly into the S14 240 without any modification, no driveshaft or custom crossmember needed.

yea, it's a skyline clip... do you know anything about R32 clip parts?? for tranny parts....

heh, not yet anyways. We are doing a swap auto-manual on a S14 next weekend, and using clip parts from a Skyline clip, so maybe by then I can tell you something.
