I ran into a friend of mine who has a Maroon S14 who I hadn't seen in awhile. Anyways cutting to the chase, he has decided to go with the Sr swap and is looking to get rid of his motor. Here's the legistics:
.82,000 miles on the motor
.tranny will be included along with the new B&M short shifter already installed
.he's throwing in the Greddy header along with a straight pipe and a high flow cat
.Injen intake with the Injen Heat sheild

...all for the total asking price of between $700-$800...not too shabby huh?

The thing is I won't need the intake and could care less for the Greddy header. If you ask me though, just the motor/tranny with the shifter is well worth the $700 he's asking for it. My plans are to obviously use this motor for the required rebuild needed for turbocharging later in life.

The wrench that gets thrown into the whole thing is that I'm a couple of weeks away from spending close to $3,000 on new furniture for the apt. I'm trying to get into soon.....*sigh*....has to be something right? I'll work some figures tonight and see what I come up with. Let me know what you guys think regardless.........and if I can't have it, the offer is up for anybody else. Serious inquires only though (not meant to be an advertisement Carson) http://www.freshalloy.com/

hey, i think that is a pretty good deal...
i got my 97 s14 engine and tranny for 850 but it didn't include those extra goodies. the motor had 37,000 miles on it... hey if you don't really care about the intake and header you can make some money back by selling it...haha...anyways...I think its a good deal

Sit on the tranny and use the engine as a TV stand. http://www.freshalloy.com/

Sounds like a great deal. BUY IT! Sell the intake and exhaust for like $300-$400. Then you would only be spending $300-$400 yourself.

Shouldn't the B&M shifter be compatible with SR tranny? I know the SR20 Nismo and Mr. C's shifters slip right into our KA trannies..

Who said anything about SR? Although yes, it does fit.

Thanks for all the input guys.....unfortunately I don't think I have the funds to purchase it at thgis particular time. I'm desperatlely trying to pay off the car, but furniture, and pay off other numerous bills before I find myself a house to get into.

If I somehow find a way to purchase the motor along with all its goodies I'll make sure to e0mail all who inquired about the parts I don't want.
