The 2005 National Maxima meet (Maxus) will be held here in Dallas on the 2nd weekend of June. Here is the information if you're interested.

Official Maxus 2005 Schedule! (http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=399100)

Friday, June 10
Track day at Texas World Speedway!
http://www.texasworldspeedway.com
Cost will be $180 per car/driver for 4 hours of track time. Beginners and experienced drivers are welcome, as well as any non-nissan that wishes to attend.

Entry forms are here:
http://mattblehm.com/maxus/TWS_App.doc
PLEASE FILL THESE OUT ASAP TO ENSURE YOUR SPOT AT THE TRACK! Space is limited, and we need to get these done soon so the track manager doesn't think we're a bunch of goobers that ask for a track day and don't show up. you can even pay with check or credit card this way! Just download the application and send it in to the track at the contact info at the bottom.

Best bet is to drive in to College Station on Thursday and stay there thurs night. (I will post hotel info later.) gates open at 7am on Friday morning. driver's meeting usually around 8am..

When it's over (about 5pm), we will caravan back to the Dallas area Friday night and check into our hotels there and then find something casual to do for the rest of the evening.

Saturday, June 11
Car Show and Meet sponsored by Trophy Nissan!
10am-4pm
http://trophynissan.com/

the actual event will be held at the Town East Mall parking lot, which is about 2 miles south of Trophy. (map here..) (http://maps.yahoo.com/py/maps.py?&addr=2063+Town+East+Mall&csz=Mesquite,Tex as%2075150&name=Town+East+Mall)

there will be several classes and trophies for each group- actual classes TBD. Cost of entering the show will be minimal, and will include one Maxus 2005 T-shirt.

For those who don't wish to enter the show, there will be another area marked off for for all Maxima owners to park and show off their rides.

Lunch for everyone will be supplied by Trophy, and I have heard rumors of Hooter Girls in the area. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I am planning on having several vendors attend as well- I've already talked to Warpspeed and Cattman and a couple others. trying to round up as many as I can to come and put up booths.

Dyno Meet at Alamo Autosports!
6pm-10pm (possibly later as required)
http://alamoautosports.com/

Price for the dyno is $35 per person, for 2-3 runs. look in other related threads for dyno signup info.

Hotel Info:

For the people who want to come to the road course event on Friday, you should come in on Thursday night unless you live close to College Station.
the hotel we will be using is the Manor House Inn: http://www.manorhouseinn.com/
Contact info: 1-800-231-4100
Rates are $55 per night. Be sure to tell them you're there for Maxus 2005, or request block CGMB#1 to get the discounted rate.
I have reserved 40 rooms for the track event, so no problem not having space here. but still please get your names in early. They are releasing my block of rooms at the end of May so no more reservations are guaranteed if you call after that.

**EDIT**
For the hotel in Dallas, I have the info linked in another thread:

If you want to sign up for any of these then post here. I will verify with Matt Blehm to make sure there is room available.

I've (Matt93SE) set up an event at TWS for Maxus 2005 I'm planning in June.
I just received word from the track that only a small handfull of people entered, and I need to show up with at least 30 people to make this event happen...

the jist of the event...
Who: anyone who wants track time
What: EIGHT 30 minute sessions per run group- 4 hrs total track time per driver!
When: Friday, June 10.
Where: Texas World Speedway
How Much: $180 per driver

We will be running two run groups- beginner & advanced. Instructors will be available as requested or deemed necessary. The track will provide safety workers, so that is covered.

I have hotel rooms reserved at the Manor House Inn which is just a few minutes from the track.
