Well finally got the car running a little better so I decided to take it to the track tonight. Had a friend weld my diff over the weeked for the time being so it would hook a little better.

First pass the car bogged in first, wheel hopped in second then got a little sideways in third so I pedaled it. First run ended up 13.6 @ 116 w/a 2.24 60'.

Second pass same story in first and second then when I banged third the tires just went up in smoke and the car headed hard towards the wall. After clutching it and short shifting to fourth I ended up with a 13.8 @ 111.

After debating on drifting at the drag strip again I decided to make another run, shifting like grandma on a sunday cruise.

Third run, eased it into second ripped the tires at the top of second and then shifted and rolled the throttle into third and rolled through that last 200' on the limiter in forth. Ended up with a 12.84 @ 121.

I'm pretty happy with the mph on the third run, its not too bad for how light the driving was on the first half of the track. This is on the 245/35/18's as pictured in the other thread about the swap. Also on low boost (15psi) and pump gas. Slicks and 28psi should be fun http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Damn, have you dynoed this thing? Sounds like fun. Nice job getting 12s with it.

your passes sound like a typical 300zx TT. Those guys have issues with traction and wheel hop a lot. My buddy ran a best of 13.21 making 350whp/404tq, but his trap speeds were always really high. Slicks ought to be quite fun.

congrats. nice to see you actually putting it to work some! http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Good work, looks promising. What fuel system are you running?

Thanks guys! I have not dyno'd the car yet. I am using a stock 300zx computer, safc, 555's and a 255 pump. This thing is turning out like my old Honda that I used to run on drag radials, best time in it was 11.80 @ 133 lol.

you should try to find out the status on Ashley Power's Z-emulator and custom tune the ECU. especially with the monstrosity of a turbo you have. LOL.

should be able to hit 11.5 or so with that trap. Slicks!

Thats what I was thinking, and thats low boost.

BlackBomber, I have been looking at the Zcontrol rom editor but I think if I go with anything it will be an AEM ems. Thats what I'm most familiar with and I really like it.

Seem like he "spooled" the stock diff.
