There are no kits for s14 that i know of. You use your stock sock.

The place with the kit used to be www.ftfmotorsports.com (http://www.ftfmotorsports.com) but now you get redirected to /expired and a page explaining that FTF didn't renew, and I assume closed up.
It was an Eclipse sock, if I remember right. But ya, if your stock sock isn't toast, you can use that one.

...or ignore that response since that's the part number for the S13 kit ('89-94), and the sock is INCORRECT for an S14 application - Could lead to fuel starve on hard corners.

The sock for an S14 faces in a different direction, and is much longer...and while you can use the S13 kit, it's not a perfect fit. FTF Motorsports, like "Jeff240SX" pointed out, put to gether a kit that was the S13 kit, PLUS a new sock that was correct for the app. It may have been an Eclipse sock, I don't recall.

The pump is the same...and a S13 kit will run the car just fine...but to make it really app specific, you need to reuse your stock sock.

I thought TY used a Mustang sock on his Walbro. IIRC it was a little shorter than the stock S14 sock but it had close to the same angle.

That was the first go around where I simply band clamped the pump to the fuel pump bracket. Then there's the time with a Nippon Denso FD pump, etc.

Since Terry is no long running FTF motorsports, I guess I'll be allowed to give out the final information. I didn't give out the information as a courtesy of Terry's time and willingness for me to sort through his walbro sock collection.

The S14 setup:
Take a S13 kit, and buy an extra sock from Walbro for the late model (~'97-'98) Honda Prelude.

Pictures and stuff, plus real world usage feedback was documented several years ago. The gist of the difference is being able to pull fuel when the level is low.

Can we have a MODERATOR update the original S14 Walbro pump thread now archived in "Best of 240SX"...?

For installation, is the negative wire with the black rubber boot cover over it? I took my parts off in haste and have them mixed up, but I recall the negative with the black rubber boot cover. Someone please clarify! Thanks in advance.

the boot is pos. You can look at your OEM fuel pump and it shows what's + and -

I know which is pos/neg on the fuel pump, but it's the stock wires that you clip to connect to the fuel pump. Those ones are mixed up since they're both the same color. So the one with the boot is POS and the one without is neg? Thanks nrgonline.
