well we are doing an s14 sr20 swap into a 95 240sx. Well upon checking out the stock recirculating valve, there seems to be an orange-ish type fluid, substance inside of it. Smells kind of like coolant. Does anyone have any ideas wut this might be? Does coolant pass through there? Im not familiar as ive only done 2 s13 sr20 swaps. Will be pulling the oilpan today to see if all is good, pulled the valve cover and all looks well. All rocker arms still in place. Thanks for any help/info. Motor is very clean, just not sure wut this sludge, mud kinda lookin stuff is. thanks.

probably just rusty water. There should be no coolant in/near the recirc valve.

just so im not mistaken...the s14 recirc valve is not connected to the SMIC like the s13 am i correct? it is before the intake manifold from wut i can tell from pictures. As this motor didnt come with a smic.
