Just orderd a gt28rs, I don't have enough right now for injectors/maf/tune but i have to rip apart the turbo to replace a gasket so I figured id toss on the new turbo and run low boost, only problem is the stock wastegate on it has a 12psi spring, im not very good at reading flow maps and was wondering if 12psi is going to be too much boost for the stock injectors? Someone help me not kill motor =\ TIA

12 psi on that turbo will be at that gray area where they are starting to run out. i wouldnt do it. you may be able to get by on 12 psi but if you spike for whatever reason youll be [censored]

although its rare to see an internal wastegate actuator with a non adjustable spring set that high. if its an adjustable actuator, turn it down to about 9psi and blow the doors off some people

you should be fine.
s15 and gt28rs are about the same size right? i ran about 11-12 psi on s15 with stock maf/injectors for a while.

S15 is equal to a GT28R(except cast divider between wastegate and turbine)

GT28RS is a much bigger compressor side...

s15 turbo is pretty much the same thing as a GT28R. http://www.store.yahoo.com/phase2motorsports/niss15siljsp.html

The compressor housing on the GT28RS is the same size as the GT28R (both .60 a/r)

GT28R flows 31 lbs/min http://store.yahoo.com/cheapturbo/garrettgt28r.html
GT28RS flows 35 lbs/min http://store.yahoo.com/cheapturbo/gtdpo.html

like i said he should be fine but to be on the safe side just don't smash the gas so much.

apparently the actuator is adjustable, perhaps it has some sort of adjustable rod with preload on the spring? hopefully i can turn it down a bit and just run 10psi for now, if not ill just be driving easy i suppose
