I wasn't going to even post this embarassing time but on Northwestnissans.coom they mentioned it so I feel the need to explain. It was a race against the stolen rb26 powered S14. The street tires didn't help with traction, and they messed up prepping the track and had to re-do it after a few runs. My first run I went like 16 or something at 60mph because it was so slick I let off after trying to shift to third and breaking loose so bad I thought I was going into the wall. I'm looking forward to getting some better times with some different tires as I spun all the way through first, second, third and it broke loose in 4th. Also I had pretty bad 60' times with my best being a 2.1. Best time I actually went about 80% throttle just to get as much traction as possible. Sucks having to not use all the power you have, but I ended up with the best time in the street division and feel confident I can hit 12's with traction. It was my first time at the track too. Did I make enough excuses, ha ha!

He ran a 13.9 best run of the night! Sorry about being in the wrong section. My setup is a built SR with GT3076 at 1.2 bar. Guess thats what I get for pretending I am a drag racer for a night. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

wow yea serious issues i guess.

I used to run consistant 12.20s with 91 octane and 18 psi with a stock long block and a 62-1/t3. what was your 60 ft?

what kind of street tires?

I used the comp tas from BF goodrich.

I have some crappy Kuhmo's my 60' times were between 2.1-2.3. I seriously spun all the way through most gears, even if I let off and got traction and then eased back on I still lost traction. I deffinately am not going back without getting better tires.

yeah dude thats retarded, you should not have gone in the first place lol or launched in 2nd i guess...

get a decent lsd even if its vlsd, (DO NOT GET A 2 WAY) and some decent tires. You should be in the low 12s with that heart but make sure you have the soul (standalone) to match your motor and turbos potential.

I went Enthalpy Tune and am very happy with it. I'm not really into drag racing but I will for sure get an LSD soon. I didn't plan on going to the track but decided why not. I guess know I now why not, ha ha.

what is your goal then just out of curiousity?

That a decent sized turbo for other motorsports.

Just be careful if you are spinning that much in a straight line then you should proboly invest in that lsd, some better brakes, tires and possibly even larger rims.

Just think safety first! http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I just built it for fun, no real reason. I'm not very competative. I have upgraded breaks, and 17x9's in the back. I'm very safety oriented, but thanks for all the suggestions. Spool is pretty good though, I do some road style tracks and long winding canyon runs. I'm very happy with the response of th turbo for daily driving, not that you can hit full boost much daily driving.

Also this is with a full interior in an S14. I'd never launched it before that night, and first actually hooked up better than second. The track was pretty bad.

I know what you mean about hitting full boost around town. or at least i used to http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

17x9 is nice. I have 17X 7.5s right now. I just spin like crazy, so I had to put the DRs on the back for now.I just need some 17 inch nitto 555 drs or something like what scott used to run on his trogodor.

I wasted all my money buying engine parts and then getting some Volk's but cheaped out on tires, I guess I learned my lesson. I hear great things about the 555's.
