if you are running a t3/t4e .57 or .60 trim, please list your mods, dynos, timeslips, etc. etc.

i would like to see what a few other sr20det's are running with this turbo. seems like i can only find a few cars running with this turbo, and i cant get real straight up answers of just how much power you can put out with these on our cars, and how good the powerband is.

mine should be running within the next 1-2 weeks, and i have no clue what to expect. i guess im looking for a bottom of 420whp, but topend i have no clue.

I would think low to mid 400s would be the max you could get out of plain 57 or 60 trim (not a decimal) T04E. They both flow less than 50lb/min. That's less than a GT30R. What t3 a/r are you running?

I think Kovert had a 60 trim and put down low 400s. With cams, football and tubular exh. man. 450 is probably attainable.

the 57 trim is supposed to flow 50 lbs/min. ill be running a .60 compressor and .63 exhaust (4 bolt discharge).

i remember reading one of koverts posts that he was indeed running a 57 trim. he dynoed around 400whp on stock cams, stock intake manifold and a log exhaust manifold. ill be running hks 264 step 1's, topspeed intake mani and a full race. what makes me think is that kovert dynoed his on a mustang dyno.... so it should be 20% higher than that on a dynojet? http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/confused.gif im not sure if my math is right, but with all those variables it would lead me to believe i should be close to 500whp. the cams are the weakest link.

It's not 20%, probably more like 10%. Cams and intake will help, but not as much if the turbo is losing efficiency.

I think 450 is the max your gonna pull before the turbo is maxed out.

A good sign of that for me was at 22psi vs 23psi, hp only went up 16 or so, but tq went up 28ft lbs. I'd imagine with cams and a intake manifold, and a better exhaust manifold, my numbers would have been 40-50hp higher

are we talking all these numbers on pump gas?

Further, is this generally the best sort of non-ballbearing t3 turbo for this sort of power range? Not trying to steal the thread, but I've also been looking into a gt32 but have had some trouble getting some solid info on it (especially on an sr20)...

What kind of rpms are you guys reaching full boost at with this kind of turbo? 4500rpms or so?

also, if you go with a t3/t4, is there any difference between a garrett t3/t04, precision sc-44/sc-60, or turbonetics...etc?

thanks

i believe garrett and turbonetics are pretty much the same thing. i know they are manufactured in different places, but both are garrett internals. precision turbos are completely different.

i went with the garrett because i got it for 500/shipped/new. you cant come near that with any other turbo.

im looking for full boost at 4500. it'll be running as soon as i get the head back, hopefully the end of this week or very early next week.

i know it will max in the 460whp arena because thats what the turbo is rated at. it will probably take about 23psi on 110 octane to get it up to that.

i think 425whp on pump is pheasible... but for reliability's sake on the stock block, ill probably be running a lot of race fuel from now on. the torque on this thing will be crazy.

I dyno'd my car with a t3/t4 .50 trim with full race mani, stock intake mani, stock cams, and just bolt ons for fuel, and such. hit 378WHP@18psi....

i then upgraded to a 62-1, and 272 cams, and i hit 400.2WHP on 18psi. i had full boost at 4800. and this was a BASE tune

i now have my greddy intake manifold on, and its tuned better.. and my god its ALOT faster.

it should hit about 430-440 on pump gas. and then with race, it should be about 550+

aim me if you have questions- kickertu

precision turbos are completely different.

No, Precision uses Garrett stuff. Heck, it says so right on their main page.
