Wasn't the S15 '99+? That says '97+.

I also believe the 6-speed trannies are 3 piece units while the 5-speed trannies are 2 piece units. The pic clearly shows a 2 piece tranny, meaning 5-speed and not S15.

Cjex don't get me wrong but the engine
on the pict. is a 94-96 180sx late style.
The 97-98 type X came with the spark
cover on dark grey.

Maan, i just ebay. My god. How do people do this? That is an early 180sx motor, like marco said. $3K? wow. it looks like it was sitting in sea water all of its way from japan.

Anyhow, just anyther clue to not buy on ebay!

I emailed the guy...he was clueless. Was like "I have an S13 motor, it's red. This isn't an S13 motor" . At any rate, I just sent him a detailed email on how to spot the differences between an S13 motor and an S14/15 motor, and I emailed all the bidders.

Hey all,

To the best my knowledge, the seller of that engine, uses the exact same page format as the seller with the web site listing jdm1.com...meaning he's the same guy trying to sell the suspicious 94'red top...ripping people...buyer beware

I did the same thing as Asad... I emailed the seller and told him he was mistaking. He emailed me back saying that I didnt know what I was talking about. So I emailed the high bidder lol. I think I'll use my friends ebay account (He doesn't use it any more, he's got a ton of negatives lol) and win the auction just to protect people.

to be perfectly honest, if you're dumb enough to buy an engine on ebay, especially one that you don't know the specs or details, you deserve to be ripped off. i wouldnt email anyone. These are likely just kids that are gonna be non-bidding-winners anyways....

man, don't you think that's a bit on the excessively harsh side? email the kids and warn them. then if they're dumb enough to IGNORE you completely THEN they're dumb enough to be ripped off http://www.freshalloy.com/

97 s14: probably won't help much, he can just cancel your bid or sell the engine to the runner up. but if you really want to save all those foolish bidders, win the auction, buy the engine and then give it to me for free. http://www.freshalloy.com/
