Are you talking about VTC, variable valve timing, or are you talking about vvl, variable valve lift? There is a NA sr20de 160hp with the variable valve timing. The VVl engines are only for the fwd cars and takes too many mods to get it to fit in a FR setup.

The variable vavle timing engine can be found in a JDM NA s14. 160hp with a 10:1 compression and variable valve timing. I would imagine the the redline would b similar to the sr20de , but possible slightly higher by no more than 1000rpm. Not a bad engine, but I wish the VVL engines were able to fit the rwd cars with more ease. the sr20ve has 8K redline and 180hp. And there are the 1.6 litter versions too.
