Who's running ARP main studs and what are your thoughts? Are they needed or should u just run factory main bolts? I was just wondering b/c not to many ppl discuss what main studs they use in a rebuild. thanks

can't comment yet since I don't have mine..but they have been ordered. The only issue i have really heard of so far is that they might be too long for a couple of the holes and do not allow the secondary oilpan to lay flat against the block. therefore you might have to grind down the studs a bit. Besides that...i don't see whey you WOULDN"T use an upgraded part when you're doing the rebuild. I found the for 90$.

good luck

Yeah I'd say theyre needed, since the bottom bracket is one of the components that make the SR20 as strong as it is..

But, Yes, 2 of the bolts are too long, we had a guy in the Norwegian club crack his oilpan cause of them, so they have to be grinded down a bit.

hey man thanks a lot for those pictures and everything. I purchased the main studs as well, but I wasn't sure how I should end up checking them when I do the rebuild. Those pictues showed me exactly what to look for!
