QUICK spool! 1 bar @ 3200rpm.

I'm hoping to do some RPM vs BOOST charts for the S15 turbo, and then a soon to be installed GT30R 0.63, or does someone already have such charts laying around and want to add to the thread?

I'd love to get an idea of exactly how various turbos spool with the SR20.

I get 15psi on my .50 trim t3/to4e on my KA by 3300...

im not sure honestly. Ive just never seen an S15 turbo make that much boost that low and not be in 5th gear. i was under the impression that they made 1 bar in the 3600rpm ballpark.

i make 1.0kg/cm^2 at around 3900rpm on my redtop. of course, i'm using a home depot boost controller.

according to the manual, 4th gear is 1.213, which is in between the 5spd's 3rd (1.308) and 4th (1.000).

I was just screwing around on the highway doing 4th gear pulls to see how low I could get it to spool up to 1 bar. VTC does help a lot with the spool as well.

It's a stock S15 motor with a Power FC and an external wastegate hacked on to the stock manifold (0.9 bar spring), but it just goes to show how quickly these things can spool.

same setup except, CP 9:1 pistons, precision GT30R top-mount ssauto manifold, 5th gear (1.00:1)

1kg/cm^2 at 3800!

I cant remember the exact radio of 6th but im positive of 5th.

Yup, 1:1 ratio in 5th.

I'm also running with VTC enabled, which helps a lot with spool. I plan on doing a full VTC ON/OFF test whenever I manage to make it to the dyno.
