what happens is i got a turbo on my engine and i dont know which one it is, it bolts right to the stock manifold, but where my t-25 says .48 on the compressor housing this one says .80 so im lost.

The S14 T28 didn't come with a roller/ball bearing core, the S15 in the other hand did.

The S14 T28 is good for about 290BHP and the S15 T28 is good for 320bhp, the S14 T28 swap is very common in the UK because its almost a straight swap for the very inadequate T25.

UK200SX the s14 engines came with no ball bearing section outside of Japan. Basically, UK, Australia never got the ball bearing turbo.
All of us have the JDM engines, which have the BB center section.
Seen a few of them, nice units.

when upgrading to a t28/t25 s14 turbo from a stock s13 t25, when it is almost direct replacement, what modifications are needed?

the s14 turbo had the compressor section upgraded, and i believe the turbine is the same so will a greddy/blitz downpipe intended for an s13 still work? i know it will bolt onto the manifold still.

so is my turbo a t28 then cuz i'm stumped as hell has anybody else ever even heard of a .80 housing. HELP!!!

Yes, the .80 compressor housing was/is available on Garrett's small-frame turbos. Not sure about the 0.48 turbine housing you mentioned in another thread -- that seems like a T3 turbine housing size. Although the T2x series has a 0.68 turbine housing available...

is it .80 or .86? where are you reading it? inside the throat of the turbine or on the side of the housing? .86 was available factory on the GTI-R T-28 turbine

What are the specs on the t28 turbo front housing size rear housing size efficiency (sp.) maximum usable boost. Stuff like that thanks.

There are many different T28 turbos out there, you have to be more specific on what you are talking about.
Here are the specs for a stock s14 t28:

S14 SR20DET
Compressor: 60 trim 60 mm t28 BCI-1 in T-04B housing

Turbine: 62 trim 53.8mm T-25 in a 0.64 A/R turbine housing

Ball bearing center section.

Max usable boost is around 14 psi. After that gains are not noticable.
will put down about 260-270 WHP

it is stamped right on the front of the compressor .80 in that same exact spot on my t25 it says .48
