I was so happy to hit 350whp at 14psi. Esp since it was about 80* out. It was in the high 70s last time I dynoed 351whp at 16psi.

Info about my setup is here http://www.ka-t.org/cory.htm And this is on a 141k stock block KA24DE and on 93 octane pump gas. The car is DAILY DRIVEN at 14psi.

Man that is just great. Are you going to stop there and see how long the bottom end will last? Or do you have a rebuild in the works?
Great stuff! How is it being faster than MOST cars on the road? Gotta be fun.

Well I leave for the Navy in April. So, I'm prolly gonna roll on this for a lil bit and prolly before I leave, I'm gonna dump in some race fuel and go for 400whp. Only doing that because I won't be needing my car for a while.

In this setup, I've invested prolly $5000.

KAs go for around $400 here.lol http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

But this is the original engine that came in the car.

fyi, i checked my old dyno.. from 4.7k to 6k you made the exact same power my 57 trim did at 18psi, but i had hks 264 step 1's & freddy manifold on you. not sure if that's because of the ka or because of the 50 trim, but its really good to see you making that type of power at that boost level http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Another fine reason to run a KA-T, with excellent tuning.

Was just looking at your spec sheet and it looks like we will have similar setups. I have a Precision BB SC50 with .63 A/R and just ordered the Ground Zero Mani. I would be VERY happy to come anywhere near your numbers on the dyno. Good job. Just a heads up since I saw you were in Florida, Saturday April 1 at Markham Park we will be having a FL Nissan BBQ.

We will have people coming from all over. It will be worth the drive. Maybe you can get Orion(Brian) to come down with you. He is up near there too.

I'll be interested to see what kind of power you make with such a similar setup. 357 whp at 15 psi is quite awesome, I'm really impressed with nissanfanatic's simple yet efficient setup.

Actually, 350whp was done at 14psi. I'd go for more if I didn't make $7/hr and if I wasn't taking a month off before I go in the Navy...

i got mine on the road and i like the 50 trim a lot better as well.. feels like it puts out more hp than the 57 trim at less boost! im getting full boost (19psi) on sr at 3900 rpms on the street.. should have a dyno up later this week.

a few days before you leave you should give it hell on the dyno. and then post your #'s really pushing the engine. love to see 400+ before you head off for the navy. maybe in at month you take off we can meet over in tally or some middle ground. im jealoud of your 350 though. nice work

I actually do have 5 gallons of 100 octane sitting in my garage... I am very tempted to dump that in and run 20psi on the dyno.

Mark, what are you running on the hotside(wheel trim/housing size)?

cwdmark
02-28-2006, 07:35 PM
i know the exhaust is .63 (4 bolt), and i believe the compressor is .60. i don't have any problem running 19psi on pump (94), no breakup or anything with stock coilpacks at .028 gap.

Dude, whatever. You don't even know me.

I haven't visited the 240 forums in a long while...I've been out of the scene ever since I got a motorcycle. I don't lurk, I just popped my head in and thought I'd say hi.

I'm just saying...I feel like this should be standard by now. It isn't.

Besides, if you saw the look on my face every time I boost, or with me driving some 200hp 240SX years ago, you'd know I'm not a hp egotist. 350hp is beyond usable street power in that car...its pissing contest power.

Not if you have a better than 2 position right foot, or put another way... do you think that my 2500 lb s13 with 370 rwhp would be left behind by a 230 rwhp stock t25 car on the street? Either in a straight line or in the twisties? I know that not to be the case, perhaps if I was running some cast away 195/15 tires pulled from the dumpster as many with these cars seem to do, but with reasonable tires and the afformentioned vario foot mod, that isn't the case. I think 300-400 rwhp is the sweet spot for this chassis to make it a fun all around car.

im gonna agree with angel on this one... 400whp in a 2500 lb rwd car isn't overkill http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/cool.gif neither is 450whp.. if you have the traction to back it up.
