Alex, any news update? Do we get a discount for 240sx owner? I might be interesting going there.

Call me a track nut...

SpeedTrial is having a track event at Buttonwillow Raceway, here in California.

They are running the full track (3.0 miles), clockwise.

If you guys get the chance, I highly encourage you to attend this event. It is great fun to watch and participate in.

I am still trying to negotiate with Tommy for a discount for 240SX owners, but the regular registration fee is $140.

As with any other track event, a SA-95 or better helmet is required.

Pics from the event from last year can be found at http://www.socal240sx.org in the gallery section.

Hope to see you all at the track!

Hey,

We get smog checks, strict law enforcement, blah blah.

We also get sunshine and wonderful track events in winter time.

Fair tradeoff, wouldn't you say?

P.S. There's a track event the same weekend, hosted by SpeedTrial at VIR.

P.S.S. You like your video so far? http://www.freshalloy.com/

The word is...

There is only a flat $5 discount for club members.

Reason being, the event is being capped at a straight 25/group.

I still recommend you going to the event, whether to spectate or to participate in it. It will be great fun. I'll be there.

Alex, the video is awesome, I have watched it 5 times. Great.

As far as smog goes, well MA is getting up there. Dyno tested emissions and visuals. Nobody know what they are looking at tho. Says nissan on the vale cover http://www.freshalloy.com/ .

Aghhh, sunny days in Cali...

There is also a NASA event the weekend before that has a competition school and an Enduro race as well. More fun to watch, but no 240s that I know of. Unfortunately, I could only do one. Drop me an email near that time if you are going and we can be sure to meet up (not that there are any other guys going down w/ 240s http://www.freshalloy.com/ ).

ttt

I know that there is a drift event the day before... it would be great for people with track experience to attend the drift event, but for those of you that need somewhere to start out at, I suggest you attend this event.

Or just go watch and have fun.

Hey Alex, do they have a deadline on registration?
Cause my friend crashed my car http://www.freshalloy.com/ ,(Need to replace lower control arm) and I am not sure I can fix it before the track day. Once I get it fixed , I will call and pay for the entrance fee.
