View Full Version : I think these are pics of the CX in camo.

I saw these a couple times, labelled as "mystery SUV". I think it's the CX.

Does anyone else see an Infiniti logo impressed on the camo?

The interior has a fair bit in common with the FX and the M, with the air vents, navigation console and knob, and the strip of wood running along the dash.

I just looked at the new G photos, and this is definately the CX. It's going to look good. I think it will look more like a G wagon than anything else.

Sorry, with the camo on, it looks like every other compact CUV.

This is no Infiniti. It's either a Toyota,Honda,Mitsu,or Kia. The headlight looks way too goofy for an Infiniti and the wheel design screams Toyota. Looks to be next gen Highlander IMO. The baby FX(AX,BX,CX or whatever they decide to name it)will look a lot more agressive than this on the outside and a whole lot more luxurious in the inside.

Well, the theory among others is that it's a Hyundai, but I still think it's the CX. Here's some comparison pics with the new G.

IMO this looks nothing like an Infiniti or a Nissan for that matter. Tail lights look like BMW. Interior center console and windshield wiper stalk look nothing like anything for Nissan of Infiniti.

I called it first! Welcome to the partei, everyone!

Show me a current model Infiniti with that style wiper stock ,and Ill buy you one. Definately not Infiniti. In fact If that was the new CX, I would quit my job at Infiniti.Much further downscale than Infiniti. Maybe Kia, or Hyundai. and the vents around the center counsel look more RX330 than FX. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/ack2.gif

Nope.. its not an Infiniti. There's no analog clock in the console area. Nice try http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

the clock could be placed lower in the console. we need a comparison of the buttons the the steering wheel.

The clock was the biggest thing giving me pause, but I agree that it could be out of sight. They seem to have a tendency for moving it around.

As for the steering wheel buttons, they really don't look like any Infiniti I have found yet, but they don't look like any Hyundai I have found either.

I should have looked closer at the new Elantra. The interior shares a lot with this.

I think this demonstrates it the best:

For comparison:

One thing that seems very odd though is the layout of the buttons in the control stack. There looks to be a control knob, like one would use for a nav system. Only there doesn't seem to be a corresponding nav system, leading me to believe that this single knob replaces the 3 found on the Elantra.

One thing that puzzles me is where this fits in the Hyundai lineup. It doesn't look bigger than the Sante Fe, and the Tucson doesn't seem due for replacement.

I dont like the 'snaily' look of the sides. I'd prefer a scaled down FX scaloped style. The top pic has a X90 Volvo to the left probably for comparo. CX would compete with the turbo5. The interior is FXish. Ill hold my tongue about the look until the camoflage is off. But it seems more probably Infiniti than anything else.

It's a hyundai

In my opinion it is an Infiniti.
The brown coloured listarrangement of the right hand part of the dashborad is the same shape as in the new G35. The wiper handle is as much Nissan/Infiniti as it can get. Centerconsole arrangement is also established Infiniti design. The instument housing is Nissan design. As far as the clock is located, it can be put in a low location as in the FX.
The Koreans copy japanese cars shamelessy I know, but I think it is too many clues in these pictures that point towards Infiniti rahter than Hyundai.

i dont think its a CX. here are my reasons One thing that sticks out are the wiper controles not nissan/infiniti there too long also i think the CX would share alot more in common with the Fx such as narrow headlights/taillight big rim ect. also there is no display screen wich is being put into the infiniti lineup( New G, Q, M, FX, QX) And its not sporty enough infiniti's ine up has a brush stroke and this car has a brush stroke of an oval.

04-23-2006, 02:31 PM
this cant be an infiniti

the speaker doesnt have a cover. its built into the panel. i dont think nissan/infiniti would do that.

The CX is supposed to be SMALLER than the FX,this thing is HUGE

THIS is the CX, notice similarites in its rear to the FX, and notice the INFINITI logo http://www.japanesecarfans.com/spyphotos/6060419.001/6060419.001.mini6L.jpg

It has been confirmed on many sites by Hyundai insiders for the longest that the top one is a Hyundai. First off its bigger than a Murano, second thats a Hyundai steering wheel look up the 2007 Elantra to see, and third the shape of it isn't similar to any Nissan/Infiniti like mentioned before. Like I said its been confirmed that the first set of spy pics IS A HYUNDAI...http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/beatdeadhorse5.gif

As for the second set of pics we know its a Nissan product. We just don't know if it will be sold as the CX. Is there an Infinti logo?

05-11-2006, 08:54 PM
Its a Hyundai SUV of some sort. Here are the spy pics of Hyundai Mesa, which looks so much similar.

05-15-2006, 09:20 AM
Why is Hyundai after city names- First the Santa Fe, followed by Tucson and Now the Mesa.

05-23-2006, 04:37 PM
It's a new mini Hyondnisoyota SUV. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

From what I've been hearing, It won't be call CX, but rather AX or EX. We'll see.

The EX sounds too hondaish :p

12-20-2006, 06:18 PM
Trim level, yes Honda uses EX. But then again, Nissan uses SL and so does Mercedes Benz. CX is already being used by Mazda.

Hmmmmm, I wonder how come no one noticed the Infiniti Logo before. Oh that's rite; it doesnt have one. lol.
