Well some Z club had a dyno day here in San Antonio so I invited myself and went.

I don't have a scanner at home so I uploaded the .drf to my site for those who have winpep and wish to view and manipulate it.

Here is the 1st run at 18 psi (http://www.mycarsfaster.com/downloads/pics/RunFile_001.drf) and here is the 2nd at 20 psi. (http://www.mycarsfaster.com/downloads/pics/RunFile_002.drf)

I am running Linux at home so if someone can save it as a .jpg and email it to me I will host the pic from my site.

Overall, it made 391 whp at 18 psi and 412 whp at 20 psi uncorrected. I was hoping to make 400 at 18 but came oh so close. Full spool was at 4500 rpms. My spool was off before because I had changed the nipple on my mbc and it wasn't bleeding, but now it is fixed. AFR were great. They dhowed a little rich at times but that was with a butthole sniffer. When I put a 5 wire on it they were more right on so I am not worried. Both pulls were made on 93 octane with a 87 and 88 outside temp with 18% humidity.

I am pretty happy. The car drives great except for the first couple minutes when i think it is lean when warming up. Other than that it is spectacular.

Thanks go out to Enthalpy for the great tune and my buddy Everett for helping out.

Lates.

Very nice numbers! I wanted to jump in the mix with numbers from my SC50 but the only dyno there was here was sold locally and apparently it won't be up and running for a few months. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/4.gif

Congrats.

Very sweet numbers. Congrats! Now I have something to aim for, since my setup will be pretty much identical.

wow, what a great torque curve! i still bet you could achieve slightly better spool with a different type of boost controller.

Its just shocking that someone can remotley tune that well for a setup where you are without being on the dyno with you. good job scott. maybe ill ship you my haltec haha

I inquired about him doing a map for my aem but I think he said he can't do it remotely just because there are so many options and variables with a standalone. I may be wrong though.

thats the beauty of a MAFS based engine management system.......repeatability. what works on one car is pretty much going to work the same on another car.

Hey Kill, didn't you have a standalone on your other car? http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Looks good, its amazing how simalar our graphs look. I guess now i have a pretty good idea of where I'll be if I turn the boost up a few psi. Looks great. Mine has a tough time idleing too but mine runs rich when its cold obvisouly from the cold start map, but after a few seconds it will start to idle good. Anyways looks good, now go run some times!

I dynoed last year with Scotts PFC base map and it was nearly spot on. Changes were made to get the a/f ratio in line but those changes were very minor. I could have easily left well enough alone and been fine without the dyno tune. Keep in mind, this was based on a very conservative tune as nothing was changed in the timing maps to tweak it for maximum power. My mods are similar to Killjoy's except I'm not running cams...yet. 333 whp @ 18psi on a Dynapack.

Scott came out here to Daytona to do a custom rom tune on my friends SR--

t3/t4 50-trim
850cc injectors
z32 maf
jwt cams
greddy intake manifold
21psi
444whp on a mix of 93 and 100.

-- I was impressed. Too bad he doesn't do CA18's http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Which jwt cams?

I BELIEVE it was the S4's... I am not positive though, I'll have to ask him.

good deal! ROM tune works wonders. i used a jwt tune and got this... (not to steal your thunder, but to show how good a little old unadjustable rom tune can work.

http://members.cox.net/pampadori/pictures/dyno.bmp
why isn't my pic showing up???

actually says 444whp without smoothing.
for a car that sees street duty, i don't think you can beat a rom tune.

Nice numbers Killjoy! My next setup, after my GT28R, might be like yours.

I overlayed your runs and my runs since our setups are almost exactly the same, it seems amazing they look almost exactly the same. I tried to post it but the graph always is too small when I put it on here and if I enlarge it then its blurry. If anyone wants to see the overlay pm me your e-mail and I can send it to you. It makes me feel more confident that everything is working as it should since they match so well. Or we both screwed up somewhere! http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif When are you going to the track again? We don't have any events that street cars can run in until May 26 so I guess I'll have to watch you until them.

I need some tires first but have some other things that take priority over the car for now. One of these weeks though. You can email me the graph if you wish.
