24psi = 369rwhp/328.8rwtq

We did one pull at 27 psi and a boost pipe off, but that graph was 370rwhp@ 6000 and climbing - I didn't want to stress the motor too much, so I called it off for now.

All runs were made on C16. I need to make the turbo breath better a bit more. Once I do that, I should be able to hit 400 at the same boost level.

Good power, great looking curve a steady boost of power, but for me it spools up too late compared to other turbos, yes the price difference is huge but lag is something were all trying to get rid of.

good job though enjoy it.

how do you have a stock ex.mani with a t3/t4...did you use one of those ebay adapters?

Yes, you're right. There is much lag indeed, but nothing a 50 shot can't fix! ;) lol

welded a T3 flang to the stock and made it work. It's not the best way to do it, but it works for now. Although I think the stock exh. manifold is decent, it's a bottle neck for sure.

I don't have pics right now, but i'm installing a EWG on it this weekend, so i'll make sure to take some pics then.

Im surprised more people dont actually do this, whats the difference between this and lets say if the turbo had a stock manifold flange?

As long as the weld is good it sould be fine, maybe grind/machine the manifold on the inside a little and its good.

Well, I think the idea is to have more flow. Yea, I did exactly that, I machined inside of it so it's all nice and smooth and bigger. But I think the stock manifold is still restrictive when you're shooting for high hp.

oh yes certainly, but people still use the stock manifold with the gt2871r and it works fine, but once they go with a T3 flange they presume a new manifold is a must, which it isnít if youíre trying to save a few bucks.

^^^^ Agreed. I'll post pics and see what people think

i'd just like to know/see how it clears the block, do you need a custom dp/outlet, etc.

Houmack

yes, you need a custom DP. Basically everything becomes custom.

Good thinking. I was considering this a while back, but like you're saying, the stock exh manifold probably does start to pose a restriction at these power levels.

wow thank god i trashed my 60 trim, its ok but i think the 50 would work out better for the sr. It did for me.

50 trim>60 trim.

the 50 trim turbo is just alot of fun without alot of lag. i made 374whp on my old 50 trim on stock evertying. just full race mani, and turbo.

get a new exhuast manifold,. you will see a HUGE gain.

at what boost did you make your 374 with the 50 trim? I should have gone with the 50... I just don't know why i didn't.

Oh well.. next setup lol

The 50trim makes such a more broad powerband. I definately like mine.

Only 25hp and 13tq extra when upping the boost from 19 to 24? That doesn't seem right or is it because of a restriction in the setup?

It is probably due to stock intake and exhaust manifold.

i did that at 19psi with the 50 trim
