I already have a buyer for the ignition stuff.. so it will just be the motor/tranny. It has 142k miles on it but still runs strong. The intake manifold is polished and It has an ACT Street clutch that's practically brand new. If someone will purchase the motor the day I pull it, i'll let it go for 500 bucks or trade for some performance parts for an sr20. buyer pays shipping but i'd prefer a local sale. http://www.freshalloy.com/

it's a 1993.. http://members.aol.com/craig1mack/images/sx_0058.jpg

all of the wrench work was done by my friend/roomie Craig "Blitzkrieg". I was able to acquire the car from him. We're going to be doing the sr swap in a few weeks.

I only wish I had the cash for an extra motor for my turbo project...*sigh*

...quick question...where did you have the intake manifold polished or did you do it yourself? It looks great...yet another thing I'd like to do to mine:)

Car is clean as hell http://www.freshalloy.com/

Thanks, well at the time I owned a 1990 300zx, and craig owned this 1993 240sx.. we pulled our intake manifolds off and polished them ourselves. It was long and well involved project but it turned out nice in the end. Hell me an him think the sr swap will be easier then the polishing project was lol http://www.freshalloy.com/

I'd trade the motor/tranny without the ignition stuff for a Blitz Dual SBC Boost controller. if anyone has one, shoot me an email at

How much are you selling both engine and tranny? Plus how much for each?

Sanding for years... water sanding for years... then using a brown compound polish, then a white compound polish then a metal polishing stuff. sorry im lacking the exact details. It took forever primarily because we'd sand some here an there, and we weren't in a huge hurry.

Seems like a cool project that would be pretty gratifying once finished. Thanks for the info.

I am interested...how is the engine running? Was the timing chain or any major work ever done to the engine?

Not to my knowledge, but it runs strong>> Again I've sold all the aftermarket ignition stuff.. so im trying to sell the engine/tranny alone. I'll include most of the wiring harness, ecu, distributor MAS, and the air intake system.
again the clutch was installed roughly 2k miles ago or so, and the flywheel was resurfaced when it was installed. 500 dollars for everything the clutch itself was 328 ;p hehe http://www.freshalloy.com/

Shoot me an email sometime, if you're interested.

Motor hit 143k yesterday and it's still running perfect. It should be out right after spring break is over. if you come pick it up it'd be a great deal. 500 bucks, can't really beat that for a motor and tranny+new clutch etc.

let me know http://www.freshalloy.com/

I might be interested in it for a rebuild. My motor is getting tore down today or tomorrow. I might have caused too much damage to the current block I have.
