I'd like to swap an SR20DET into my 240... however, it is an automatic. Although I've never done anything nearly as involved, given enough time I think I could do most of the SR swap myself. I'm not so sure about converting the car over to manual, though. What exactly is involved with installing the clutch cylinders, pedals, hydraulic lines and so on? Will everything bolt up to my automatic car, or will any custom fabrication be needed? Exactly what needs to be done to go from auto to manual?

The entire operation, as I understand it, is bolt-on. All the threaded holes, etc, are already there.

Parts needed:
Clutch pedal assembly, manual tranny brake pedal, clutch hydraulic system (master cylinder and hydraulic line). The slave cylinder should come attached to the SR tranny, and you'll be using the SR ECU.

It's all "remove-and-replace".

Except for one thing - the Master cyl hole through the firewall. You have to cut that out with a hole saw, it is not too hard but still that and the pedal mounting are the hardest things.

If you can handle the SR swap itself, switching the tranny pieces will be easy for you.

You wil need clutch pedal , brake pedal(or cut your existing one), master cylinder, slave cylinder, hard line that runs from master cylinder to underneath car(need to bend it), rubber hose that connects hardline to slave cylinder, new center console piece with shift boot, upper shifter boost/dust cover, bracket the holds tranny up is different for auto too, you will need one from a manual.

I think these parts should cover it http://www.freshalloy.com/

OK, great then, sounds pretty easy... http://www.freshalloy.com/

would cutting part of the auto brake pedal off put the remaining part it in the same place as it would be with a manual brake pedal? I wanna be able to heel and toe with this thing... http://www.freshalloy.com/
