Hi, can somebody help. I got a 1996 G20 with 65000 miles on it. After 35,000 miles I replaced the clutch. Now the clutch is again slipping, I would have hoped that these things last a lot longer, in al my previous cars, about 10 of them of other makes, the clutch lasted easily 80,000 miles, my driving is rather sedate, I get about 25 miles/gallon, mainly commuting and highway.
Does anybody have any info how long these clutches are supposed to last, and, two, are there any better cluches on the market?

We recently sold my wife's 1993.5 G20 because we found a good used 2000 with low miles. The 93 still had the original clutch and still worked fine. I drove it, my wife drove it and my son drove for 2 years in the mountains. The car has 225,000 miles on it on the original clutch. We were the original owners. It was the best car we ever owned. I am not sure why your clutches don't seem to last.

Some drivers get 225k some 35k.............clutch replacement is rare on the G20.

Hope you are happy with the newer models the early ones were the epitomy of Nissan durability................things went down hill by 1996
