I am considering a P11 G20 to replace my b15. I know the scoop on the SR20DE.

Is there anything else to know or look for when shopping for a used p11. I want a 5 speed but auto will be the choice (happy wife, happy life)

I own a 2000 P11 and it is a nice car to drive....especially when cornering. The handling of this car, IMO, is very good.

Things to watch out for:

1) Check the area under the hood where the front grill is located. That area is prone to rust due to the design (salt and water get trapped by the foam stickies). If it doesn't have rust now then you are best to get some rustproofing done and some kind of clear shield film to wrap around those areas. :)

2) Check the trunk where the electrical wires are located. I have a few rust spots in that area where the wires makes contact with the body of the car.

Other than that, this is a hassle free car for me. I have 120K on the car and still have the original battery. ;) I'd watch out for rust if you are living in the rust belt areas.

Rust is a given in my life as one trapped in the midwest...

Those suggestions are great! Got them in mind and will keep that info handy.

I am sure the P11 will be much different than my B15 GXE. However, I do have an hidden agenda... hopefully my wife will like the the P11 better than her A33 Maxima and take the P11... giving me the A33!:hsdance:

Thanks! I love the color (merlot) with the interior. I believe it was a 2k2 only color along with Maui Blue and another one I forget at this time.

There a quite a few G20s in Chitown for sale but not many in Madtown for sale.

I did some research and I think the price is about $1500-2000 too high. I think $9k or 9.5K is much more realistic based on miles (unless condition is excellent.)

Off to Madison this afternoon. My wife is really liking this as a replacement for the B15. If the car is clean and we can make the $$ work I should have a new ride!

Well we bought it! They gave a fair trade on the Sentra and we financed the balance. Interior is in great shape, exterior needs some TLC but its a nice one-owner trade. The P11 is an incredible car! More pics to follow!
