so since may or so, since my car has been on the road, it has been 7 or 8 different colors, i got my motor taken car of.
then i planned for paint. but like always school botches my funds.
so i spray painted it, sanded everything smooth and loaded it with a dozen light coats.
came out nice im verry happy with it, no blotches or stripes like usual spray painted stuff
here are some teaser pics. ill get some finished pics up when the sun is out.

I like! It looks great! Was that a flat color or a gloss one?

looks good man, similar color to a local guy, on a hatch too...I only have one comment, you went through all that effort to do a good job (which you seriously did), but why not try and clean up the cracked front lip while your at it too?

i got the whole kit for free. and i dont plan on babying it or trying not to scratch it, so i didnt really mind the cracks, the back bumper is kinda banged up too

on the front bumper the chunk was missing when i got the bumper and fiberglassed it back in. but obviously its not perfrect

How did you go about sanding it? I'm getting ready to tackle my car in a similar manner, not enough funds for professional paint, but I have plenty of free time. Just wondering what grits you used, and at what intervals, because it turned out good enough, if you know what I mean. Nice job.

wow that came out pretty darn good. I might be doing this as my car is in desperate need to have one even single color. I don't have different color panels, but the paint is faded, and clear is gone/faded BAD...nice work :D

for sanding i just took a 400 grit and scuffed up the clear/ paint on the car to give the green something to stick to and smooth out some bumps and scatches.

thanks for the props

Can't beat DIY!!

Looks good. It's to bad the Maxima wheels just don't have an 'eensy' bit of offset, but otherwise they look nice too!
