Hi everyone. I picked up my new EX today. I'm a former G35 and FX35 owner. I created an album here:

I have to say that I LOVE this vehicle. My EX has Premium, Tech, Nav and Lux Style packages. It's black w/wheat interior. I really love the new Nav system and all the great features. The surround camera is really cool.

This vehicle drives great and has the right balance of luxury/sport/utility for my needs. :D

PS:
there is also a trick to put pics derectly into a thread,

copy the hyper link from "properties" of the picture, out of the FA gallery, then click in the box the "landscape" pic , from above the posting box and paste the link into it.

I edited that into your post.. :hsdance:

Nice looking Cuv!! G2, how does the Ex compare to both your g35 and fx35 in terms of handling and road feel. Have you test driven any other competitors like the rdx and x3.

I didn't test drive either the RDX or X3. Firstly, I'm not a BMW fan at all, so that was completely out. I did look at the RDX, and just looks alone was enough to turn me away.

I had the first Gen G. In comparison, this vehicle is so much more solid and tighter overall. I had the AWD FX35 Sport model w/20s. While a solid performer, it was stiffer than I wanted in ride. The power was adequate, and I thought the exhause sounded cool. It got tiring on long trips.

I think the EX is a good balance between the FX and G for what I am looking for. It so far seems to have the right amount of sportiness (doesn't feel slow and it doesn't toss you all over the road with a stiff supension). The EX also is luxurious and it has all the tech gadgets to keep you busy for hours, lol. The service dept at my dealership did a great job at going over all the features and made sure that I was able to understand them and use them all.

I hope this helps.

Can I tell you all just how AMAZING this vehicle is???

There is a bit of a growl when you accelerate...not as noisy as an FX, but you know the VQ is still there, and with 297 horses!

Thanks to everyone for the compliments.

To the questiona bout the paint, I can say that I see no difference in the look or feel of it. It just looks like regular paint. According to the tests, the darker colors are to benefit the most from diminished swirl marks. It will be interesting to see if that is indeed true in the coming months.

As you can imagine, with the Christmas holiday, I haven't had as much time to 'play' with my new EX yet. As I do get more familiar, I will post more of my reactions. I have gotten to drive it more as I did some local visiting. It merges seemlessly on the Interstates and surges through the traffic very easily. There are no blindspots whatsoever in the EX. It is very easy to move across multiple lanes of traffic.

I loaded it up with Christmas presents yesterday as I made my rounds and took advantage of the auto up/down seats. I really appreciate the utility.

I can't get over how smooth it is, yet, it isn't 'mushy'. It has power to spare, and enough 'noise' from the VQ exhaust to let you know it's there but not so much so that it is this constant 'droning' noise.

There is absolutely no wind noise on the Interstate. I am very impressed.

The only thing I can say that I don't like is that there is no auto-shut on the liftgate like in the FX; however, the liftgate is much lighter.

I'll stop gushing here in a minute, but I do have to say that tailights are really cool at night. Not only are there individual round lights (like in other Infinitis), but there is this vertical led band on the inside edge of the tailight right where the light meets the tailgate. It's really cool!

This is a great summary of my observations during a brief test drive. Encourgaging to see that someone who actually owns it and drives it for longer than 10 minutes feels the same way.

Interestingly, after test driving the EX, I got into a Lexus RX400h and, guess what? It seemed noisy and the ride wasn't as good! Shocking.

Thanks for the write-up, please keep us updated as to how you like your EX.

WOW. It is beautiful.

Thanks! You know, when I left the house this morning, it was 22 degrees outside. I was not even 2 miles from my house and the engine was already heated up to the point of throwing heat!
