(Please excuse our driveway, our retaining wall is currently under construction!)

I let my Honda share the spotlight as a point of comparison. That tint is black 35%, while my EX is a slightly gray/brown shade 35%.

Hi Mary- I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think any tint is "legal" in NY. If I'm right about that, I think anway what it comes down to is if you go with 35%, you are a lot less likely to be picked on just for the tint alone. However, if you get pulled over for something else, they could potentially also get you for the tint (mainly hefty fines but I think that's it). Does anyone else know about this? My husband and I have had tint in NYC for years and never got bugged for it. Especially in NYC where there are more important things to worry about.

Lorenzo charged $275, and it was well worth it. It looks like it came right off the assembly line that way. I didn't do the windshield, but I think if you're interested in that (even more illegal!), it would cost extra. He is on Bronx Blvd- here is his website: http://www.lorenzotint.com. If you go, tell him I sent you (I was the only EX he ever saw). Maybe he'll give me a deal on my next one if I send people :-).

Thanks! It is taking forever to complete. Not a good idea to start that in the winter!

I don't necessarily like the color of that interior, but even so...it looks fabulous

Thanks veilside! I will say that I think my camera makes it look a bit more mauve than it really is. I think it looks much better in person, but then again the Chestnut interior is not for everyone, that is for sure!

Up here in Toronto, 35% tint is accepted for driver/passenger windows, but anything darker could spell a ticket. I think 35% is generally accepted in the places that allow tinted windows.

I got the driver/passenger done at 35%, and then the rear windows and hatch window done darker at 20%.

Totally illegal to do the windshield, so I obviosuly skipped that.

Ill have to agree with you, I would vote for EXceptional women as member of the month as well possibly even year for me. BTW the tint looks great I might have to pay Lorenzo a visit in the boogie down Bronx. Exceptional Women that is a beautiful area/landscape and all that space in your driveway/garage I could wash/detail a thousand cars there, especially from the looks of it the nosy neighbors are too distant for inviting themselves over and being rude and interrupting,as if anyone cares about their opinion.

Thanks Nick! Your post made me crack up. That's the good thing about living this far north. It may be cow country, but at least I don't have people in my business. Anyway, you will love Lorenzo. He's a great guy and very meticulous down to every detail. If you do end up going, let me know how it works out!

Sounds like my type of guy, I am also meticulous with details or a neurotic perfectionist in lay terms. CT is not bad, its pretty nice actually but a bit far from NYC and I am more of a city person, though it feels like its getting over conjested by the day and I am also a car buff so would like to have that proper space to wash my car they way I want it and in peace, thus why I like your garage/driveway, my older brother moved to an area very close to Lancaster PA talk about cow country.
