I wouldnt normally do this. I know Adam will hate me for it, but... Does anyone have a pic of 18's on a fastback? The only reason im considering this is because i can get a great deal on some 18x7.5's

Damn, what body kit and wing is that? How's the ride quality with big rims?

it was an eribuni kit , and it rode nice , but i cut some coils so it kind of hopped , it was good with one coil, but the second one was what made it bad !

i hope these 18's aren't heavy.
everyone knows large heavy wheels will just slow you down.

"Is there a big preformance difference?"-jOeHaCk98

I had 18's on my S13 and so far my best 1/4 time with them on is a 15.7 at 88mph. With my stocks I was able to do a 15.5 at 89mph. Honestly the performance difference for me was hardly noticable on the street, my only complaint is how nasty my ride quality got with 35 series tires. I don't have any pictures of my car though, and even if I did I don't have a way to host them.

Thanks for that insite. Would i be able to run 40 or 45 series tires. or any bigger? with a 40mm offset will it clear z brakes? will it be flush with the back?

Siksilvia, anymore pictures? And what size tires are you running?

04-11-2002, 11:36 PM
I don't think it's such a good idea to run 45 series on an 18's rim. I use to run 45's on my 17's and that was just about rite for me.

If I had 18's I'd run 40's or 35 series on them. Here's an old pix (if anyone is interested) of my 1st S13 w/17x7 and 45 series. Sorry not 18's.

More pictures of 18's on S13's. That's my next size rims. http://www.freshalloy.com/
