In the local paper today I saw $11,000 off MSRP on Dodges, $6,000 off on Chevy pick-ups, and on line saw $6,500 off on EX's $7,000 off FX's (must be hail damamge) in Dallas.

Has the time come for really good deals on anything that gets les than 25mpg?

Local dealers tell me the small cars & small SUV's are flying out, but the large ones just sit.

Get out your dealing hats and make a visit.

Yeah, the same is happening in the DFW area as well. I saw specials for $5000 off on EX and $6500 off for QX.

Yeah, I wouldn't buy one of those vehicles (leasing is ok though) because they are virtaully worthless. Locally there have been articles that the bigger SUVs have been on lots for a year now at dealerships.

Those are the real prices...they cannot give the things away.

You should be able to negotiate a good deal...they are backed up on the lots here. I leased mine the first week they were out, but the lease offers should be much better now.

Infiniti is also lowering their interest rates. Last week I was talking to the dealer in Knoxville Tennessee and they would do a deal on an EX premium for $34.5K with a 3.9% interest rate. This past weekend I was in Atlanta and Infiniti was advertising a 2.9% rate.
If gas goes to $5 a gallon by Labor Day as some people are predicting, the big iron and premium burning vehicles are going to take a beating.
