i removed my stock amp from the trunk of my s14 but i have a little problem now. i followed the article on 240sx.org about it.

http://www.240sx.org/faq/articles/stereo_bypass_amps.htm

i did everything up until the last paragraph. the stereo works, but i get 3 sets of 4 beeps when i turn the car off now coming from the stereo. This only happens when the faceplate is on, wheteher or not the stereo was actually turned on or not. My question is, will the last paragraph fix my problem? If so, can anyone clarify it? Im really confused by its wording...

I tried emailing the guy who wrote it, but the email bounced back.

one more thing, is there a stock amp for the front speakers too? if so, where is it, cause ill need to remove it cause im adding a 5 channel amp.

what kind of head unit is it? It sounds like a reminder beep telling you to remove the faceplate. I would look in the radio instruction manual to see if that feature can be turned off.

The same amp controls both sets of speakers, if you look at it it is in two parts.

Yup, it's just a reminder thing from your head unit. It is standard in all (I think) Sony head units.

Hope this helps.
