Broke open my bottom end to refresh and replace any worn bearings and not only found a spun bearing but this as well. Any chance its machine shop fixable? The crank has no play or scars. I even put it back together and gave it a spin to be certain it wasnt binding.

Got any bearing pictures and crank pictures? I would say you might need to look into another block. The only person I would trust to fix that correctly would be Mazworx if it is even fixable.
The other thing I"m looking at that is scary is where did all that metal go?

Good question abt the metal. It actually looks a bit melted from friction I assume. Dont have crank pics but it appeared fine. The funny thing is when I put a bearing in it seemed to sit fine. Of course its not under stress but most of the damage is beneath the surface of the bearing seat. In other words the bearing groove is just slightly bigger than it was.

As u can see on the most damaged bearing (#5) the notch is sheared off. I found that lil chunk in my oil pan.
