For those of you in the DC/VA/MD/PA/WV area (or willing to drive to get there, there is a High Performance Driving Education event at Summit Point 6/22-23/02 (the weekend before Ricer... err... Hyperfest).

NASA-VA is the sponsor (more info at www.nasaproracing.com (http://www.nasaproracing.com) (or .org?). Anyway, it is on the big track as Summit, will have 4 skill groups, and at least 3 20 min. sessions per day + classroom. IIRC, the inaguaral race of the Porsche 944 Cup series will be there too. There are group discounts if there are enough of you guys (I'm already going in on one from another group) - I can get you details if you would like.

All the standard HPDE rules apply: 1) car must pass tech; 2) must have SA95 or SA00 helmet; 3) you will have an instructor in car unless/until you are signed off to run solo; 4) OEM pads probably won't cut it (SP is not kind to brakes); you must be a NASA member to attend ($30, iirc); 5) you WILL have fun; 6) this event WILL sell out (especially novice) so if you are interested, it is time to move!

The price is $289 for the weekend (it is unlikely that you will be able to buy a single day b/c of demand). I'll try to answer anything I see here, and will seek counsel from the registrar if I have no clue.

Alex and Asad - sorry it is a little off topic... just trying to see some more folks using what we bought http://www.freshalloy.com/
