thanks, that actually looks pretty cool... wheels are too big though. they make the cabin look too small.

From the side the front looks nice but what's up with the back. It looks like a truck rear-ended it, I think this one is the worst one of the three. My opinion.

i think it's supposed to look like the original, with the tiny little spoiler built in.

I actually like that better than the 911 clone. its like a sturdy looking S13 or a Nissan interpretation of a F355 Ferrari.

I dont think this one is it, and I'll tell you why. If any of you remember the official press picture released by Nissan some months ago, you would realise the differences in the rear styling. Overall, I think this drawing looks alot like the last generation Supra with about 6" taken off it's rear.

Somebody please fill me in on something. Is Nissan going with the Japanese or American design?

**DONOTDELETE**

most likely Japanese

This one is OK with me!...But, the most important thing is what's beyond the looks!...What ever the look is, the new Z should be light and affordable...then, it's OK to have a nice look!!

I like this car's looks better than those old prototypes. A little smaller wheels might help.

I wouldnt kick it out of bed but I'd prefer
a slighly sharper nose and 4" more overhang rear, maybe 4" more front also. the glass looks good and the fenders are just OK.

That pic's been around a while (at least 6 months). There are better pics of the 'real' car but I'm too lazy to find them. Here's a few contrasting ones, including a better quality version of the one already posted.

yeah, the front kind of sucks, though looks good from the side.

man... if the top one didn't have a Z emblem on the wheels, i'd say it's the next tiburon.

oh, and i was checking out a 240z yesterday. i'd say 240fan was right: needs more front end, beyond the wheels. (when i lined my escort up next to the 240 with the noses even, the z's driver seat was parallel with my back seat!)

they should change the ugly headlights for sure. Some of the curves on the car suck.

The people at Nissan said that those pics were nowhere near what the Z looks like... http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif
They have said that the new Z will resemble both the 240Z and the Z32 TT... with a Porsche look to it... so those "renditions" are not even close... but the quad headlights look kinda cool...

Agreed Hammerman. These are NOT it. Plus the Supra knockoff pic had been posted on BusyBee months ago.

I'm still waiting until January. Hopefully there will not be a delay and Nissan will in fact do the first look at the Detroit Auto Show.

Thats an ugly car!

I just hope the Z is original and not a copy cat of anything besides having little hints from previous Z's.

Why is there even a debate about these pictures? I've seen them floating around for close to a year. Nissan's bloated frog car depictions came out much later, and they sound more authentic - based on the feedback on this forum from (if you beleive what you read on the net...) Nissan 'insiders'. If that Audi / Porsche cop-out is what's released, I'll source a 90-96 TT and spend a few bucks on it. Overweight though it may be, it does NOT look like a VW New Beetle.

I cannot seem to get the dimensions of the cars from the pictures (say, smaller or same size w.r.t. Z32). Also if I didn't know it beforehand, I'd call the '911 clone' actually a Porsche 911, least likely a Nissan Z car!. ...i.e why the Porsche look at all?!
My real all-time favourite: the 1992+ Z32.

Nissan's head sales guy Bill Kirrane sez the Z convertible will go on sale at the same time as the coupe. http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif He was quoted in the November 6 issue of Automotive News.

Are they planning a Z blitz or something? Any other hints on the Z model range like 2+2, base engine, top of the line, etc.?

None of these pictures and even close to what the real thing will be. The best thing we can do for now is speculate, much like these people have done with these pictures. It appears to me like somebody has gone a little mouse happy with their photo editor. Most noticable are these two.

Which believe it or not are nothing more than a couple of doctored Z32 pics. If you look very closely at the yellow one you can still see the T-bar roof and mirros of the original car. The second one did a much better job, but you can still see the car's roots in the (once again) mirrors, and B-pillars. The first one with the quad lamps is a mystery to me, but I can assure you the real car will not look anything close to that, as confirmed by inside people.
