I know it's just three numbers and a letter but 350Z sounds tough.I hope they stick with it.

Hmm...interesting. This could also be because Nissan does not want joe schmoe to register a name like this and putting up a cheapo web site and then trying to sell the domain name to Nissan later on for millions. Rather spend a couple hundred for safety than more later on. http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif

What's also interesting is that 350ZX.com has been registered, but not by Nissan. If Nissan plans on calling the 2003 Z 350ZX they have already been beaten to the punch

Look at his e-mail; it indicates that he is one of the Z31 (84-89 300zx) owners who is probably accumulating money to buy a new Z as soon as it's released http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif

So, 350zx.com will become a fan site for the car http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif

I agree that nissan registered the domain cuz they don't want to lose it to some guy that is gonna be a dick and ask em millions for it. They were probably just hoping nobody would notice but when you have an insane following like the z does you can't expect that to happen http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif. I think the other guy just registered the 350zx.com site in anticipation of a 350zx hoping thats what it was.

Nissan was forced to register it cuz at the auto show they will probably mention some sort of specs on the car and that means everyone would run and try to register those domains. Hell, I probably would of myself, I have the ability to run up something like that through my work and the return value from a site like that is great along with the fact that it is just great to run a great fan site like that.

Automobile Magazine said the new engine will be a 3.3 liter V-6 turbo or normally aspirated on page 14 in the latest issue.

Hey I think I got A Name for the new Z it's truely simple and KOO....For the NA Z it should be called the 350 Z. And if they come out with a turbo it should be 350 ZX (X meaning extreme proformance http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif > http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif) ) And if Nissan wants the Z to be kanda related to the Skyline they should add GT-R and/or V-Spec.

i always figured the x meant "really heavy" http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/wink.gif

from what i have seen ###z means that it is a stripped down focused on performance and basic comfort. ###zx means really powerful but caters to all the creature comforts too. That is why this one is gonna be a 350z because they are trying to go back to the older way instead of the high price way.

As far as that magazine saying that it will be a 3.3L turbo, did they just decide this on their own? because everything out of nissan says NA. Plus NA is a much smarter route. Lower MSRP, lower insurance payments, and if the car can make power all the way through the powerband with NA than that will mean you have power ready at all times without and turbine spool up time.
