Have you guys seen this thing? I saw one today and it looked almost exactly like a Frontier Crew Cab. So, I did some more research on it, and as if the looks weren't enough of a rip-off (look at the way the rear fenders sit right at the front of the box!), it has rip-off features too! http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/frown.gif My favorite was what was printed at the FORD website. They have a picture of a flip over cargo extender that works exactly like the Nissan version. In the information section, it reads "Ever see a cargo cage like this before? Of course you haven't-that is until now." I wanted to write to them and tell them that I have seen it on the Frontier for the past several years, but I couldn't find a way to email them. Anyway, if you get a chance, check this thing out. you won't believe how much of a rip-off it is.

I'm so glad Nissan restyled the Frontier and gave it that SC engine that should be enough to handle the sports trac for now.

If you're looking for Ford's inspiration, look no further than the Nissan SUT. (And of course, the Crew Cab -- the four-door truck that started the trend -- in America, anyway.)

Ive been saying that for a year now or so. My friend, which is a ford fan, keeps telling me Im wrong and Ford has had stuff like the cargo extender for a long time. I say like "yea right" and go on.

The only reason Ford is able to say that their Sport Trac is innovative (even though we all know it isn't), is because they claim that it's an SUV with a bed rather than a truck with 4 doors...

Pretty lame!

The thing that gets me is that virtually all pickup trucks in Japan have 4 doors and the short bed. I have never seen a 2-door truck over there.

It's actually good looking and nice...just like the Nissan! But, that's the problem with it!

Silly me; what was I thinking when I originally saw it and thought it was a 4 door Ranger! http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/rolleyes.gif

I still think the Nissan is better looking though! http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif
