I can still see the Toyota in that car. As long as that's the case, no thanks. I'd rather have the new '02 Altima!

But why did they have to put the Altima instruments in the center of the dash. That will prevent me from every buying that car. The Toyota is looking better and better all the time.

All the pics up until today showed the instuments in the center of the dash. Where did you see these new pics before today?

And I hope the interior looks better than those pics because that silver trim looks so cheap.

And those clear tail lights...I hope that are completely airtight because if a little moisture gets in there, they will look terrible.

I just wonder why they are copying the Lexus and not doing something original with those instruments. I love it on the Lexus, but I expect something more than just blatant copying from Nissan.

It seems I'm not likely to be happy with the American Altima. I love the Primera front end and profile better than the Altima. The only thing I hate about the Primera is the center mounted instruments:

You were probably looking at the Primera pics in the 1st place. I'm sure that they (the taillights) will be air tight. It's similar style to that of the RX300 and the IS300. I never see those things with water floating around, unlike Cadillac. Overall, this cars seems to have good build quality...at least lets hope it is, we'll see in Sept.

I love the clean, mature look of that profile. Reminds me of the Seville in the C-pillar, and that is not a bad thing. Toyota seeems to be on the right track with this. Now if the mechanicals/performance can compete with that bad boy 2002 3.5 5speed Altima! I am sure however the Camry will just remain a quality made cruiser....

Notice how the Camry is looking more sporting in nature? I hope they keep this one.

The Camry seems to have adopted it's rear-end from the Avalon, and the front end is basically the off-spring of the Lexus ES and the Camry Solora. The car is okay http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif but look too long and tank like. I hope the Altima doesn't look like that in person http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/frown.gif , considering the fact that it's longer then the Maxima.

Oh and can anyone confirm this new rumor that Camry might only be available in 3.0L v6 and 3.5L v6?
