The next size up using the stock rim is a 225/50/16. Its the widest you can fit on there, but it still is within spec and wont mess up your speedometer calibration.. The edges will bulge out a little more but I never noticed a fitment issue in my car when I had them. Since Ive had the car, I took my stockers off and replaced them with an ok 225, then I was in a bind (Had a long trip that day on threadding tires http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/ooo.gif ) and replaced those with a 205 of equal quality. I liked the 225s much more so in the morning (time for tires again) im puting a 225 back on the se rims.

Run 215/50/16. The smaller side wall will aid in cornering and it's just about as wide as you want to go on a 6.5" rim. I am actually running 215/50/16 in the front and 225/50/16 in the back on my S14. 215s were all sold out in the tire I wanted so I 225s instead. It bulges off of the rim quite a bit. The 215s just fit (and look) better on the stock rims.

The only problem I have with a 215/50 is that it is an odd size. There are a lot less types of tires in that size then in a 205/55 or 225/50. According to tireracks prices the 215/50 also runs more ($$$) than the 225/50 in the same tire. The bfg t/a kdw, for example, are 28$ more per tire for the 215's then the 225's. I couldnt justify a nearly 120$ difference for 1/5" less buldge and 1/5" less sidewall.

Oh and here is a thread on the 225 issue with an image of how they look. "Click me" (http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB9&Number=168766&Forum=U BB9&Words=kumho&Match=Entire%20Phrase&Searchpage=0 &Limit=25&Old=allposts&Main=168764&Search=true#Pos t168766)
