master brake cylinder for s13 5 speed with z32 brakes all the way around I have been searching for a while but haven't been able to find two things that match. I don't have abs.

I can't remember if you buy a ~86 200sx master with rear discs, or if the z31 one is better. Either way, those are the 2 main choices. I think some have even used a z32 one with some haxing.

got get a master cylinder from z32 90 300zx NA
make sure the cylinder size is 1 and 1/16 ..it's a direct bolt on piece for S13, and i have it on my car...
doesn't matter if you have ABS or not...this unit will work for you

Not quite, Richard -- it does matter if it's ABS or not. If it's a non-ABS car, you have to remove the plug that plugs the 3rd port on the Z32 master, and then find some way to get an inverted flare in that port so it doesn't leak (I believe you can cannibalize your stock master cylinder and remove the little flare piece and put it into the Z master).

so any one from a na z32 will fit the year doesn't matter? What hole are you talking about that has to be fixed? If you can provide more info please it would be helpful thanks

Has anyone put the automatic MC onto their 5-spd? I bought an S14 auto MC off eBay a little while ago because it was cheap, but I haven't done anything with it yet. I'm wondering whether it's worth the install for Z32 front brakes.

Any Z (NA or TT) master will work, but some are different sizes depending on which specific year/car. Some are 15/16", some are 1", some are 17/16". The part numbers are listed in the fiche at www.twinturbo.net (http://www.twinturbo.net) .

The middle port is the one that's plugged with a 5-sided hex plug (?!?!). Gotta remove that one and put the flare piece in it.

Are you sure that the MC on the '90 NA was 1 1/16? That seems pretty big. I WANT ONE!

Is this the largest one that will bolt up to our cars?

In this case wouldn't bigger be better? I currently have the S13 auto MC and as you know I'm going Z calipers all around which MC should I use?

The problem with going to too big a master cylinder is that it can get harder to modulate because each little motion of your foot translates to a big change in pressure at the calipers.

As I mentioned above, some Z's came with 15/16" master cylinders.

A lot of this depends on your specific tastes. You have to balance out your preference for pedal firmness, brake control, brake pedal height while braking for ease of heel-and-toeing, etc.

i actually like that added mushyness at the top of the brake pedal it makes heel toeing much easier for me..
