i was chillinat a local meet and a lighting rollin on 22in chrome rolls up and goes aboput challenging every one to a race, of course his bet was steap, a guy in a gst tkaes him onand we roll to a open higway to race, we all wait for them to come over thehill towards the finsh line and as shocked to see the lighting is flyin, he flys right pass us with the eclipse right behind him, we could not believe it, when they ame back to he parking lot he pops the hood and bed cover, he had two tool boxes, 4 factory tires and a sub box with 4 15in subs, of course the eclipse dude wanteda rematch but i hadto tell u guys how quick thi lighting was. they are sc factory but he did somemajor work, custom ram air and a pully so small on that sc it had to be pushing mad psi. man im still lost hahaha http://www.freshalloy.com/ http://www.freshalloy.com/

Dude you should proof read your post before you reply. It's hard to read stuff that doesn't make sense. You should edit the entire post. No hard feelings, -240GT-R

Don't know why your so shocked. Lightening's are fast, like you said, supercharged from the factory. Something like 320hp? 0-60 in 5.8, I know that for sure. I don't know how fast the Eclipse Turbo is, but if its anything like my buddy's '98 Talon Tsi then its probably around 6.5.

There's no replacement for displacement! Especially when there's a supercharger on top! http://www.freshalloy.com/

yeh i know but im shocked cus its soo fast, and with all that junk in the back it had to weight like 3700, plus 22in chrome rims, man its just weird??? lol

Looked it up, I stand corrected. 360HP in this years Lightening. http://www.freshalloy.com/

Actually for 2001/02 its 380 hp and 450 ft-lbs of tourqe and will run mid 13's right out of the showroom (my dad owns one and i can testify to that) so its no suprise to me that beat the GST im just suprised that the GST was "right behind him" and not 1/8 of a mile behind

It's all about displacement. Since both rides were FI, the difference was more displacement on the Ford.

Damn large displacement engines. Their so great! http://www.freshalloy.com/

...even Sport Compact Car had to admit.
