I'm guessing that the ings car( http://www.ings-net.com/product/s14-mc-after/s14-after-f.jpg ) runs those sizes because the center section is a lot more "distorted" and has more of a dish than the +35 9" offsets.

So to answer your question they might fit with a few degrees of negative camber and 215 tires, but it would be more of a VIP look than a functional look.

"few degrees" in this case would need to be at least 5 degrees or more.

They'd rub the fender on the rear - I test fitted my Z32 TT wheels (16X8.5, +35 with my 15mm spacers = effective offset of 20) today and found they'd rub - And I run at least -1.5 in the rear - More camber may clear my setup, but out 6mm more b/c the width and 5mm more b/c the offset...no way.

It would only be 6mm more due to width., since you assume to "add" the same amount of width on either side of the centerline. so a total of 11mm further out. This COULD work if you use 215/45/17's and run some really stiff suspension (to try and eliminate too much compression) and some negative camber. For the fronts, same thing. Although I would say for this set up, Flare or pull the fenders. It ill look a little more muscular, will be somewhat custom, and will be functional for you. If you don't, I doubt that they will fit under the fenders. It would look good...

are those 17s on the ings car? they look pretty big. also, i was thinking that the recommended 17by8 with a +27 and a 17x9 with a +35 might look wierd, anyone have any pictures of this setup?

17x8 +27 and 17X9 +35 sounds about right to me... will be very flush with the fenders. (s13) Will need agressive camber in the front, but nothing radical.
