Hey all, im a total noob to photoshop, and im playing with an image and would like to make the background transparent, how in the hell do i do it? i can't seem to figure it out. I've got photo shop 7.0 (just dloaded it) and have absolutely no idea about it. Any other PS tips would be awsome too, its a logo for a company.

thanks

You should be able to select the background with the magic wand and hit delete, and make sure you don't have any other layers that have anything where you want it transparent. If there's grey/white checkerboard that means it's transparent. Then save it as a .gif or something that can handle transparencies
